This Hawke Optics scope has an etched glass reticle- which is superior to a wire reticle because it's much more precise. That lets you get even more accuracy from your gun. Another way that etched glass reticles are superior to wire reticles is when they're illuminated. The etched ones show the illumination only on the reticle. It looks like the reticle is floating. Wire reticles often have a reflection of the illumination in the objective lens which can be distracting when shooting.

Great product
Pros
Very nice Little very large hp but not too deep so that you will get great expansion and great penetration
Cons
I really do not have anything bad to say
the reticle ir wheel is quite heavy to rotate but might loosen up a bit with use.
Pros
great clarity, the AO yardage is spot on for parallax, and a sunshade is available. i couldn't use picatinny mounts on my FLASH QE because the magazine wouldn't quite clear the scope tube. hi UTG mounts are what i use now! the illuminated reticle is superb in low lite hunting.
Cons
nada
The Hawk Vantage is a good budget scope. The large objective lens lets in plenty of light and illuminated cross hairs actually help in low ligh settings. A good bang for the buck.
best scope i have bought, (placed on Gauntlet). very good optics, easy to use features
Pros
mag levels and focus
Cons
none
This is my first Hawke. Mounted on a Hatsan AT44 Long and turned the gun into a very accurate driver. Illumination is nice to have in dark background settings. Had a hard time zeroing but called Hawke and they walked me through my problem. Set it up on Hawke's Chair Gun App ( If you get a Hawke you have to download this app. Good reason to buy a Hawke ) and am able to play with best zeros for the pellets being used. App also permits a range card to be printed which I am using as I get used to the gun. Love the quality (very clear optics), features AND the support I got from Hawke.
Great scope for an air gun
Pros
Like the etched glass reticle. Love the mil dot for shooting distance beyond or less than distance scope zeroed for. Like the illuminated reticle for shooting against dark targets
Cons
None that I can find
This scope is great with the illuminated mil dot I use the mil dot if I choose to shoot anything but my favorite ammo. It allows me to correct my zero without any scope adjustments. The adjustable brightness is the illumination lets you dial up or down the brightness you want
Cons
I cannot find a con with this scope
I mounted this scope on my RWS 54, I havent used the illuminated reticle yet, I am used to regular, non illuminated reticles on my center fire rifles. The Hawke has performed very well so far.
Pros
Pretty good glass, holds zero very well
Cons
wish the adjustable objective was located on the side instead of up front
I mounted this on my Gladius using low profile UTG rings and am very happy. I have zoomed in and out, moved the gun around, shot quite a bit and it seems to be holding zero just fine. This is my first Hawke scope and it seems to be doing a great job.
Pros
Clear, transmits light well, holds zero
Cons
None so far
