NathanThis is a perfect starter gun. It is a Red Ryder and using a scope on this bb gun may prove difficult for your little girl to consistently group causing her to be discouraged.

Nicholas P.The gun seems to be fairly simple. You do need to make sure that you pull the cocking lever all the way up. if you only pull it part way up, it won't shoot. We haven't had any trouble with ours.

Got this gun for my 10 year old daughter. The pink stock sure made it easier to sell going plinking with dad and kept her brother away from it!!!
