Good penetrator"
I didn't buy them for target shooting for what they were made for is high vel.hunting and penetration and I am very happy with them I got high vel and they went through both sides of a steel soup can
ProsThey are well made and I found no bent or distorted pellets and they did what they were supposed to give high velocity and penetration
ConsNone the only thing I have to say is $ 14.99 is a little high for 100 so I wlll only use them in the field.

Still trying to get a good grouping....
Maybe, just maybe superlight pellets shot by a Magnum are squirrely??
ProsThe loud BANG these make when you miss will scare the birds away (for you tree huggers).
ConsSee above.

Find the ammo your gun prefers
I shoot pistols and rifles. Some firearms function better with cheap ammo, some the more expensive. Some preform better with heavier grain lead, some with lighter. My Gamo is more dead on accurate with the Platinum pellets. These are lighter which allows them to have a higher fps than other pellets, but faster is often stable. On a calm day (no wind) the Platinum is my pellet of choice.
ProsLight weight which increases the fps when speed counts.
ConsPricey. No 2 pellets in the pack are created equal.

So So
It is definitely getting the velocity up there as indicated by the crack of them breaking the sound barrier. To my surprise there was actually a group on the paper but it was about 2 inches @ 25 yards. I'll probably shoot em up plinking they were freebies with my Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper.
Prosthey were free with my gun, They apparently meet velocity claims.
ConsAccuracy sub par for serious pest control, The sonic crack is actually a detriment when trying to eliminate multiple garden pests.

used these in my Gamo Hornet
I recently purchased the PBA platinum's and compared it with the Blue tip Gamo's I think that these are good for shorter distance compared to the blue tips. They are so light that if there is any light wind past 25 yards it is not as accurate. I am still testing these though and will update you with my second try against other pellets. They are very fast though and make the gun sound like a 22 caliber rifle.
Prospowerful and no lead
Constoo light but haven't used them for hunting yet.

Powerful
Decent considering I would have never purchased them considering the price. Once I shot them, I realized they are decent pellets with lots of power. I have a bog cat and these came with it. Shot okay but the Crosman hollow point and PBA hollow point (tomahawk) shot better in my opinion.
ProsLead free Fast! Powerful
ConsVery loud, do not shoot these off in a urban area or residential nieghborhood. Very expensive

PBA Platinum
These are the hottest pellets around. The dramatically increase velocity and still maintain velocity.
ProsHigh speeds and very accurate.
ConsA little loud for sneaking around someone's neighborhood, but perfect for land shooting.

Worth the $$
I had some of these I was shooting in another gun and tried them in my Hatsan 1000S. Excellent pellet. I noticed they grouped a couple of inches higher than the RWS Super H, all because due to being lighter and much faster. The Hatsan 1000S seems to like them very well and so do I. I was grouping less than a quarter at 30 yds. I have not tried them out any further....YET, but soon will. I am gonna shoot these thru a chronograph to see how fast that they really are. I know they are faster than any I have tried. I was given a tin of Beeman Wadcutters 500 ct. with my purchase of the Hatsan and I know why they were "free"......JUNK !!! I got 500 pellets that are not worth throwing away. I wish I would have gotten some of these PBA's instead, they shoot very accurately and have great penetration. So long to some unwanted "PESTS" around the house.
ProsAll around excellent....
ConsCould be more in a pack for the money

these are good pellets the only thing is that that if is hits something it kinda deforms on contact but they are still very good...i would personly recomend the rocket pellets cause they have the steal bb for tip and have crazy good accurcy, and penatration!!! :)

another great pellet by gamo
I am in the ballistics phase of my hunting cycle where I test ammo to find the best I can get for taking out destructive pests. I tested these and really like my results. Crunching numbers after a chrony test showed a nice 30% increase in speed. The glycerin block test showed a nice wound track and some unexpected damage as well. These pellets hit so hard they shatter. The tip flattens slightly, shirt breaks off and turns into several sharp pieces that would saw at the insides of the target pest. If you hit a vital spot you are going to kill your target. In my case that's a destructive groundhog attempting to undermine a foundation. I have no doubt that these in my ruger air hawk will deal effectively with it.

I like these
I have been a fan of Gamo Raptors since I tried my first one when they were a new idea on the market. These I have discovered are basically a bit more refined Raptor in silver instead of gold. Where Raptors give you 20% more muzzle velocity, these give you 30% more. The physics of a bullet apply to pellets. A pellet begins to slow down as soon as it leaves the gun. They all do. You can't avoid it. With a highter muzzle velocity and lower mass that means it will go faster and hit with the slightly more energy than a lead pellet so you don't gain very much in the final product... hitting your target. What it does mean is the pellet gets there much sooner and hits the target with less chance of it being able to get out of the way and the hit can come from a bit more of a distance if you do the math and get your Kentucky windage right. Would I recommend these? Very much! For something tricky to shoot like an alery grounghog these are great. He's dead before he realizes that he was shot at. They fly faster than sound travels so he's hit then he hears the shot.
