The description of this gun suggests quiet but it is anything but quiet. It looks good and comes with accessories, but if your looking for something to use in the garden then don't get this because it is really loud. I have done about a hundred rounds now but still no change in the noise level. It does pack a punch but the scope is rubbish and very inaccurate. Aim is better without the scope. I am told there is better for less so I should have looked around more before buying.

Pros
Looks good, and accessories.

Cons
Useless scope, scope mounting keeps coming loose, and it is very, very, loud.

Just got this Rifle Friday. Great fast service no problems So Mounted * scope Had hard time with Scope Fit, laser, Flashlight. first time Writing review on this. Will be contacting regarding Poor scope mounts Or slots?

Pros
Nice compact, for its size, not very loud. Was able to fire 15 Rounds, at 17 yards. Good grouping .50 dia. not bad for out of box and setting it up. Safety works nice.. takes time getting used too.

Cons
Now, laser cord has heat shrink on near the pressure pad. a bump, that will not allow it to lay flat, for mounting. ( contacted site regarding that) BAD part.. A) either Rifles Scope Grooves are Shallow?? Or Scope Mounting Rings brackets are Not cut with deep enough edge to mount.? Had it mounted bolts Tight. Did not expect it to fall off. 16 shots, Scope falls off Rifle. ugh Tried to Re-mount. then slight pull on it.. POOP off it goes. Noticed the issue.. Poor scope Ring mount, Not sharp enough brackets to fit in groove on Receiver???. Or Gun Receiver Scope slots are not cut correctly???.

This air rifle is amazing. I bought this rifle 3 weeks ago and I am nothing but impressed. It`s delivers a powerfull and accurate shot everytime you pull that tricker. Oh, this gun is doing what it`s supposed to so it`s all up to the shooter if he want`s that nice headshot on them pest`s. You don`t even need a headshot with this beauty right here. It`ll tear any small game appart. Thank`s Gamo for this wonderfull gun.

Pros
Everything but the trigger.

Cons
The trigger isn`t like the ussual Gamo trigger, but still it`s a bit rough in the start, but don`t worry. A few hundred shots will loosen it up a bit and then it`s just perfect

I purchased a gun early December and I have two concerns. The first is that is seems too quiet. I've heard some say this gun is actually rather loud, but mine broke into quietness after about 5 shots. I really don't know how to tell if I'm still getting the same amount of power. The second concern I have is about the scope mounts. I'm not sure if the mounting grooves in the barrel are too shallow, or the ring mounts are just bad quality, but the scope stays sighted in for a maximum of five shots, and then it's all over the place. The mounts actually pop off the rail in about 15 shots (just in the back). I have read other people have this problem, but haven't heard what they're doing to fix it. Should I try to find a raised rail mount that would fit it, maybe get a solid one piece adapter instead of the two piece that came with the gun, or should I look into a gas piston conversion for it? GAMO just tells you to put locktite on the screws, but I had done that before I even fired the gun. One more thing, should I be looking into a new scope as well, or are theirs okay so long as I get sufficient mounts for it? If you could get back to me I would be thrilled. I want to shoot my gun as much as possible, but the darn thing doesn't even have iron sights! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Will this price hold when you stock again?

asked Minh from USA

There is no saying, some prices change, it is all up to my boss.

Scott from USA

Is the barrel rifled? I didn't see that in the specs.

asked Brad

Yes it is

Roberto from USA

Hi, Can you ship to UK( London) and can we put a silencer on it? or if you suggest any model with the silencer on? do i need a liscence for this? thanks

asked saif

Try checking out at the sight and if there is a restriction you will get a warning before you purchase the product. There are a lot of different regulations for all different countries and they are always changing, so we have set up an automatic warring if there is a product, based on your location, that is forbidden. You will have to check your own countries regulations for license information.

Scott from USA

Hi, I would like to buy this gun, I live in London UK. Do you deliver to the UK? Thank you. Also how much will it cost?

asked Ash

We do ship internationally but we require the customer to know the laws for customs in for their country.

Scott from USA

Can it kill rabbits?

asked Peyton

Yes it will easly kill rabbits as long as you use the right pellets and aim for the good spots (the head, neck or spine) hiting it in fx. the stomach will eventually kill it, but will cause alot of suffering and that`s is no good. So the conclusion is YES it can kill rabbits. Hope this helped and good hunting :)

The varmint hunter stalker has the same power and precision that varmint hunter? the scope is the same of the varmint hunter out of stock?I have a varmint hunter 17 with scope and it works great. But I do not know if the varmint hunter stalker is just as good. The only difference is that this is more quiet?

asked olivero from Argentina

The Stalker comes with a better scope. The rifle is the same as far as power and loudness.

Steve from USA

Does it come with laser and light like the picture? thanks.

asked Lee

Lee, Yes, the scope, laser, and light are included with this air rifle. Sincerely, The Airgun Depot Customer Care Team

Steve from USA

I would like to hear what owners think of this new airgun.

asked Jeff

The gun is pretty nice. The feel of it is nice, and it shoots great. The sound is rather quiet. All I can hear on mine is the spring when it's fired, and that broke in after about 5 shots (don't assume yours will do this, as many reviews differ). There are some common problems, though. The scope keeps coming loose on mine. You can sight it in, but it takes forever because the scope goes out of whack about every 5 shots. Seriously, I cannot keep the scope on mine and am looking at the gas piston conversion. I think that'd cut down on the vibration and the noise. I might also look into a different scope mount. The scope itself seems okay, and the laser seems awesome. The flashlight also puts out a hell of a spotlight that makes night shining EASY. I'm not sure if it's the grooves that receive the mounts being too shallow, the mounts themselves being not formed well enough, or just too much vibration from the spring, but even loc-tite on all the screws did not help me.... and I'm a little angry about it, Another thing, there are no iron sights on this, so you pretty much need the scope to shoot. This kinda sucks if your scope is falling out of place so rapidly like mine is. I do strongly recommend this gun, because it shoots great! Just because my gun is having these problems does not really mean yours will. However, if I could choose a different gun from GAMO, I might choose the "Bone Collector Bull Whisper .177 Cal Air Rifle With Gas Piston". The velocity is slightly more, and it already has the gas piston in it, whereas it will be a hundred dollar conversion for the Varmint Hunter. Either way, happy shooting!
