Pros
Really like the clarity and ease of adjustments with this scope.

Cons
Would make the reticle darker, it is hard to see in bright light.

it's a little heavier than the cheap stuff so you need 4 screw caps on your mounts to keep the scope from sliding thru the rings on the mag. be careful not to overtighten the caps because it made my scope rotate in the mounts(believe it or not). i thought i ruined the hawke but removal and replacement cured the problem. it didn't rotate much but it was enough to throw the zero way off. now i use the short end of the wrench in my fingers to tighten the caps as snug as i can. 200 rds later and every thing is cool. this little episode really freaked me out. lol

Pros
bullet proof scope. i mounted one on my rws 350 mag and it does the job. clarity is excellent!!

Cons
none

Second shot from a Beeman R-9 and the recticle began to rotate in the housing. This is the second Hawke scope I have encountered this problem with. Nothing else matters if this occurs: clairity, adjustment reliability. I also have found two Hawke scoped whose focus markings for parallax adjustment were no where near the actual range they gave the best focus. Hawke is now considered a crap-shoot to me and I will not purchase another. Warranty is one thing, I want reliability so that I do not need to frequently send the product back for exchange or repair.

Pros
None that matter when the product fails to hold up.

Cons
Very unreliable durability.

Mounted Hawke Airmax 3-9x40 on my air rifle, great scope, very clear and I like the mildot cross hair. Shot about 200 pellets, the scope held their settings and was able to put 7 shots at 20 yards, you could cover with a nickel. Very happy with the scope and will recommend it to all my friends..

after destroying another scope on my RWS 34 I decided to spend a little more and up-grade to the Airmax. So far it has worked great very clear and I have not had to readjust it after >500 rounds very pleased with my purchase. You get what you pay for!!!!

Purchased for my Benjamin Marauder 25 Cal PCP air rifle and have found it to be easily adjustable at multiple distances.

Pros
Easily adjustable, accurate and provides a wide clear picture

Cons
1.Cost 2. cross hairs are very thin and require bright sunlight to see. The center point is easily shaded by targets

I purchased this scope to go on my Walther LGV Master .22 Cal break barrel Airgun. I mounted and zeroed it for 30 yards the day I received it.. I am able to shoot ping pong balls consistently out to 60 yards. I don't really adjust the turrets anymore as I just mainly rely on holdover/under and have mapped the trajectory for 14.35, 15.89, and 18.39 grain Diabolo pellets from JSB. So far it has held zero perfectly. Key strengths: Optics are beautifully clear and bright. I can even shoot at dusk. Reticle is exactly what I needed to put lead on target.

Pros
Bright, clear optics Amazing fine reticle with plenty of mil dots and half mil marks

Cons
Adjustable objective is a little stiff.

Was recommended to me by a well known airgun hunter, and I was not disappointed. Solid, clear, and user friendly...mounted on my AF Texan,i couldn't be happier

Pros
Value, and the reticle...much nicer than a mill dot setup, and designed specifically for an airgun

Cons
None

I find that is a really good value for the money...just about perfect for my big bite. Clear and bright, and looks good.

Pros
Good quality for the money...adjustments are precise and the reticle is very usable.

this scope is for spring rifles?

asked thainan from Brazil

excellent scope for all springers in cluding the most powerful mags i.e. diana 350 mag for one

Dennis from USA

Does this hold up well against magnum springers?

asked Dan

excellent for mag springers with proper mounts

Dennis from USA

I have a Crosman F4 which uses a nitro piston, the scope that I last broke because of the nitro piston and I was wonder if this scope could handle it.

asked Aidan

I have a gamo whisper fusion Mark 122 caliber. Interesting Hawks air max what kind of mouse what I need for this game. Sammy [email protected]

asked Sammy

Will this scope stand up to the extreme recoil from a GAMO SWARM MAGNUM 22 cal air rifle? Thanks, Marlin Frakes [email protected]

asked Marlin from USA

What height scope rings should I use on my Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 .22 cal rifle? I’d like to mount as low as possible.

asked Jon

i would use hi mounts to avoid seeing your front sight in the scope

Dennis from USA

will this scope fit gamo hornet maxxim air rifle setup

asked terry bowerman

Does this scope come with rings?

asked John

Does this scope need High rings

asked Doug from USA

ditto on charles from usa

Dennis from USA

I use medium rings, and the objective lens has only 1/6 ' clearance. Because of the tight clearance, can't use a lens cover that fits over the outside.

K Nelson

Yes it is best suited for a high ring mount.
