The Hawke Sidewinder 30 SF riflescope gives you two significant upgrades over the former model: an elevation turret witness window and an improved optics system. You get a remarkable 24 degree field of view with the new H5 optics system, in addition to 4" eye relief. You also can now quickly see how many revolutions you have on the elevation knob with the large witness window. Both elevation and windage turrets lock, and you can adjust them by up to 16 MRAD in 1/10 MRAD clicks, and the parallax adjusts with a side focus knob, with views from 10 yards to infinity.
The Sidewinder gives you better results than expected with poor conditions due to its waterproof, shockproof, fog proof, nitrogen purged, 18 layer fully multicoated lenses. You can turn on one of 6 lighting levels for the multi LED red lights for a good look at the reticle in low light. The scope uses low dispersion crown glass to give you views normally seen only in costlier scopes, and has a 56mm objective lens and 30mm aluminum tube. Finally, recoil won't be a problem for this scope, so it works well on multiple types of firearms or airguns.
Hawke created the exclusive SFP SR Pro II 1 mil reticle for long distance shooting in wind. You get range finding brackets and exclusive red posts and crosses on the bottom part of the reticle with gaps that get wider to indicate how your projectile will drop with over longer distances. It also gives you accurate spacing at 8x magnification, with features like hollow posts at the outside of the reticle so you have a clear view and an illuminated central aim point. Hawke also gives you a package with lens covers, a CR2032 battery for the LEDs, 4" sidewheel, zoom lever, 4" sunshade, and a lens cloth.
