Winchester's 1911
I choose this gun because I had been wanting a 1911 Blowback piece in my collection and have been stalling. Then I found this one at AGD on sale. I was surprised to find Winchester airguns are Daisy product. This one built in Japan which is preferable than China. It is well made out of steel besides the plastic grips. The instructions claim its built in lubricated so no need to oil the C02 cartridge. Its accurate as others stated. You can test and practice and test accuracy at home.
ProsWas Inexpensive. The clip was well designed place to lock the slide open and a magnet in top of he clip are both useful in loading. Its not to CO2 hungry I have been able to get 60 shots out of a cartridge
Consdeal with the writing all over it. Blowback is there yet the weight of the slide with co2 pushing it simulates a rather low recoil compared to a real 1911.

Winchester 1911
honestly, its alright. definitely not replica worthy. it has so much writing on it, even the steps of reloading and shooting, and it labels every functioning button/lever on it , which kills the display. It would be nice if it had a full drop out mag instead of a stripper clip style mag. The grip safety doesnt even work either lol. Its kick is hard though, and it is decently accurate. Had this thing for a few years, and ive grown to enjoy it for fun. Id definitely skip over this and get the Tangfolio Witness 1911.
ProsWinchester Quality. Full metal frame. Sounds decent. Sturdy. Kicks hard. Fun and easy to use for backyard. Mag has a higher capacity. decent power and accuracy, comes with a hard shell case.
ConsNot replica worthy, Tons of unnecessary writing on it, the grips look fake and plasticy, CO2 efficiency is terrible and only good for about two 16 round mags. Just get the Tangfolio Witness.

My favorite co2 blowback pistol!!
I love this gun and I would choose this gun over any other co2 blowback pistols. There are many 1911 models out there, but this has to be the best of them all.
Prosfull medal blowback accurate and more...

Nearly Perfect!
This is a very nice replica! After looking at all the competition, I found this pistol at Bass Pro Shop. They had the Remington version next to it but it was in a sealed box and I couldn't examine it like this one in a clear vacuum hanger package. This had quite a bit better fps and was $20 cheaper. After looking up the reviews I decided to go for it, and beforehand, I had pretty much "made up my mind on the Rimington". I like just about everything about the gun.
ProsLooks and feels very realistic. Good gun to practice with. Good accuracy, speed, trigger pressure, Seemed about "average" as far as CO2 conservation. One of the main enhancements of this gun was the "Winchester" and other notices were stamped IN the gun, not just in the paint. The markings and identification added TO the gun, rather than away from it as with the others.
ConsThe plastic handles were too light looking, but a couple spritzes with some brown spray paint and they look great! The safety wasn't a big deal to me. I wish the places that sold the guns, sold additional clips, but I heard that since they are made out of Daisy, they should be available through their website.

An Excellent blowback co2 pistol!
I bought this to practice when unwilling to go to a range with my Wilson Combat 1911. It is surprisingly fun, accurate and pretty well made for an air pistol-Made in Japan! I recommend this pistol and have had no problems thus far!

product description of this item is incorrect .
product description of this item is incorrect . this is an excellent b.b. pistol and a fine replica , but the product description of this item is incorrect . the trigger is a single action only just like a real 1911.

Purchased this pistol for inexpensive training.
I carry a Para 1911, 45 ACP, Commander on a regular basis and felt that this model would be good for inexpensive backyard practice. It would also be a great tool for teaching my grandsons proper marksman ship with a handgun, given the weight and functions of this model. I found the pistol to be well made with a nice finish. The accuracy was remarkable up to 40 ft.. and the recoil function was like firing a 22 cal. pistol. I believe it was a good purchasing decision considering my intended use of the pistol. The pistol fits the Blackhawk SEPRA holster perfectly.
ProsGood quality, weight, finish and accuracy. Very enjoyable to shoot.
ConsWould like to purchase more mags and be able to install wooden grips. The slide is very lose and the pistol could use better sights.

All metal made in Japan !
Beautifully finished. Innovative hidden c02 loading. Shoots well. As well as any 5" smooth bore bb gun can be expected to. I understand, and you should too, when shooting bb's down a smooth bore barrel, by design there is inherently a certain amount of uncertainty as to where the bb will go. Know this and you too will love this gun and many more replica bb pistols that have become popular. I'm possibly so impressed because I'm used to spending close to $200 for pellet replicas as near good as this bb gun.
ProsRealism, The price,. Excellent Japanese Quality and Detail. Blowback is fun. Nice trigger pull. Feels good in the hand
ConsPlastic clip. Spares needed. Winchester lists them on their site but I haven't seen them available yet. Nothing has gone wrong with the one that came with the gun but it would be comforting to see them be made available.

Nice addition
I tried the crossman version and didn't like the trigger pull at at . I found this and had to have it . Great weight and action . Very realistic version of the real deal . If it had a metal clip I would of gave 5 stars .
ProsVery realistic version , great feel .
ConsPlastic bb clip , but didn't stop me from getting .

No spare clips in any provider...
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Ease of use Disadvantages: no spare clips I bought one with rewards. It is a very nice shooting gun but there are no clips available. If you loose or break the clip, all you can do is toss it in the trash. For a expensive bb gun it should either come with a spare clip or have one be available. Had I known about no clips available I would have never got it.

great training gun
I purchased this gun and the colt defender model and used them to train people how to safely handle and use a real colt 1911 handgun. I have had great results starting with the defender model then switching to the blowback operation of this gun to train people what to expect when shooting the real firearm. After a couple of sessions with teaching people with the pellet guns, I had a few people that were happy enough with just buying there own pellet gun and not even buying a real firearm. Most did learn how to safely handle a gun and correctly squeeze the trigger for accurate shots. This gun is very accurate for a training pistol. I have not had even one person ever have a accidental discharge. I am very happy with the way this gun feels. I have not had any malfunctions with the gun I purchased through the airgun depot.
ProsThe weight and blowback operation do add to the gun being very close to a real colt 1911. This gun is a self defense weapon if you do not want a real firearm in your house. Don't confuse the fact that this is just a pellet gun. Do not go outside with this to stop anyone from committing a crime. Call the police. You may get shot by a criminal or the police if someone else already called them.
ConsI wish the grip safety worked . The gun did not have the extra button to press to use the manual safety lever.

Not bad
It's overall not a bad pistol but if you're looking for a more realistic version of the 1911, I would recommend the Tanfoglio Witness 1911 Blowback BB Pistol.

Winchester 1911 BB air gun
Accurate enough but after 40 shots the blow-back failed to function, reloading Co2 was a problem.
ProsIt looks authentic.
ConsThe plastic cover is not snug on the handle, it may come loose soon.

Winchester 1911 BB Gun
Well made, good Japanese craftsmanship. Lots of power and lots of fun, well worth the price. This is a Daisy product but the 12g Crosman CO2 cartridges works fine in this gun. FYI CO2 cartridges are made in Taiwan.
ProsWell made, plenty of power, nice recoil, and sharp crack with each shot. I was glad to find something NOT made in China.
ConsNone.

can you leave the CO2 cartridge in at all times?
By Staff on April 23, 2012

Answer:
the C)2 will eventually break the pressure seal which will break the gun if it is left in for extended period of time. This could be anywhere from 1 day to 6 months.

Is this gun worth the money that i will pay for it. does it break easy? does it shoot straight?
By Staff on May 16, 2012

Answer:
bb guns aren't the best for accuracy but this is a durable gun though since it is full metal.
Pellet guns are much better for accuracy.

Is this gun able to be taken apart like a real gun?
By Staff on April 13, 2012

Answer:
Yes, though some of the mechanics will differ greatly. Many people take our guns apart and modify them for more power and things of that nature. However, dismantling a gun NULLIFIES WARANTIES!
