The 18th Century Pirate Flintlock Pistol is the airgun to get if you want to feel like you're in a famous movie about buccaneers and maidens seeking treasure in the Caribbean, or at least be reminded of the guns real pirates might have used once upon a time. It shoots at speeds up to 415 fps and has the kind of elaborate detailing and authentic features that will keep you entertained for hour after hour of casual target practice or plinking fun.

This pistol looks like a dragon-style gun with a trumpet muzzle that you fill with shot for fast shooting, or at least one that loads from the front using the ramrod. However, since it's a CO2 BB gun, it has a magazine tube that you load by removing the loading rod. You fill the imitation leather bag with BBs, pour them into the tube that holds 30 rounds, and put the loading rod back in place.

You also don't use flint and gunpowder to fire the gun. Instead, you take off the metal pirate's head butt cap to put in a 12g CO2 cartridge. The gun does feature parts that move like an authentic flintlock, including a hammer with jaws and flint pads that hold what could be a piece of flint. You cock the hammer and it moves toward the frizzen, which pops up to uncover the flash pan, which would be filled with gunpowder that ignites from the sparks. If it were real. But again, it's not actually an ancient gun, and it just seems like it works exactly the way a flintlock would.

If you want an air pistol that will amaze you with its realistic details and thrill you with its fabulous looks while transporting you back to the age of cavalier bandits, get an 18th Century Pirate Flintlock Pistol now at Airgun Depot.

Pros
Cool as the dickens! No real purpose but knew that when i bought it.

Cons
Make a single shot for pellets with rifled barrel.

Instructions state that 30 bbs can be loaded. That is not true. To insure the ram rod seats correctly I only load 20 bbs. Putting in 30 bbs the ram rod cannot be securely fitted in place.

Pros
Very nice copy of pirate flintlock pistol. Finish and overall quality built is excellent. Point and shoot is good especially that there is no aiming sights. This is a close and personal shooter. Has a heavy and sturdy feel to it. People think wood finish is real.

Cons
You will find out that the bbs loaded in pistol, empty out pretty quickly. 1 to 2 or more bbs shoot out at the same time. No big deal. It is fun to shoot. Co2 cartridge last about 60 shots.

There are no sights. Pratice point and shoot

Pros
Nice looking 18th Century flintlock pistol. Over all build quality. Has plenty of power to hit targets from 30 feet

Cons
Instructions state that the pistol holds 30 bbs. That is only true if you do not install the ram to hold the bbs in place. In reality you can only put in 20 bbs so you can install the ram into place to be securely against the loaded 20 bbs.
