Major George W. Schofield, a U.S. Army ordinance officer assigned to the 10th Cavalry, sought to improve on Smith & Wesson's Model No. 3 design and it became so popular that the U.S. Army ordered 8000 of the Schofield No. 3's, and many were used by the 4th Cavalry in the Geronimo campaign and by the Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry. Later on the pistol was favored by members of the James-Younger gang.

The Bear River version of this legendary gun features the same top-break design, 6 realistic cartridges, and an authentic single action hammer. Powered by one 12 g CO2 cartridge, our version is capable of shooting BB's out at 430 fps through its 7" barrel!

old west webley
The top break Schofield reminds me of the English Webley pistols. Bear River has made a very fine replica of the Schofield pistol this is a long barreled pistol a little on the heavy side. Has a nice feel to it the long barrel makes it pretty accurate. If you have a peacemaker pistol this is a nice companion for it to add to your collection.
ProsExcellent reproduction, nice feel, accurate fun to shoot
ConsCannot think of any

well made fun to shoot, but not super accurate
Well made functions well, but a little disappointing in accuracy compared to the Colt Peacemaker pellet revolver. When they make this with a rifled barrel I will probably order another one.
Prosgood trigger, functions well
Conslarge groups, shoots to the left about an inch and a half at 20 feet

Excellent Reproduction!
I am very impressed with this gun. The function and detail are very good. The next best thing to owning a real Schofield No. 3. Thanks, Airgun Depot!
ProsFunction, weight and handling. It is a large pistol very real in appearance.

A blast from the past!
I really enjoy my Schofield. It is a blast!! It seems very authentic. It's weight and size is huge for the price. It has become one of my favorites!
ProsIts unique style. I bring it out and watch my friends reactions. I never realized how often it appears in westerns. Now I'm looking.
ConsIt really is a hefty steel gun and the grip is kind of small in comparison. Might be difficult for smaller hands or children.

Very nice!
I bought a blued Colt (remanufactured) and the Schofield because I couldn't decide and the price was right. The Colt was really well built and was more accurate at first. The Schofield has become much more accurate and is easier to load as I get used to them both. The rubber tip on the cartidge is great for pressing in more bb's and it has a bit more authority when it fires. Very cool gun!
ProsEasy loading and old school heft.
ConsDon't really have one. Buy some extra shells. It's pennies a shot to fire at most. Hoping a woodworker will make some wslnut grips for these replica guns.....hint...

Great airgun !!!
This is one of if not the nicest airgun you will find for the money. It's heavy and made extremely well. Easy to use and the fit and finish is that of a much more expensive airgun. Smooth firing makes for a fun day at the range or plinking in the backyard.
ProsQuality is that of a much more expensive airgun.
ConsWay over priced at Airgun Depot. It's 89$ at Wallmart.

Unique
This revolver fills a niche' requirement for we esoteric just gotta have the cool old style stuff . Weight and authenticity pretty close to Uberti Schofield I've owned for years. Funny feel to grips but fit & look good. Function fine. Will say disappointed over packaging...was expecting a nice cardboard box with picture for a revolver of this price and design yet came in one of those cheesy "Wally World" type clamshell cut your fingers off opening plastic paks. So much for the collector market. That packing does set me off. Ya can tell by my whining I do not like cheap packaging...other than that the airgun if sweet.
ProsGood looks...good feel...good features...sweet
Consclam shell packaging belongs of wall of big box store...not a pistol like this...a nice pictured box would make more desirable...and collectible.

Nice
Very realistic, mostly metal, weight probably close to the real thing.
ProsFairly accurate for a BB gun, noise level not real loud, gets at least 30 good accurate shots from a CO2 cart.
ConsTakes the same cartridges as the 'Webley' , but you can only get them with a speed loader which does not work in the Schofield.

S&W Schofield
A little pricey when shipped to me in Canada, but worth every nickel. The finish and mechanical operation seems the same as the original. I get approx. 90 - 100 shot per co2 cylinder. It looks good, feels good, and shoots good, although a little low. I am working with a file on the front sight bit by bit to get it on target at 20-25 feet for soda cans.
ProsAn excellent value for the dollar. It is a great addition to my 8 Umarexs', Webley Mk Vi, and Winchester M-14.
ConsI attempted to get rid of the ugly white lettering on the right side and currently have a bit of a mess. I will dilligently work to get it right..

Schofield Model 3
I bought this pistol directly from the manufacturer, which I wouldn't recommend. I paid for 2 day shipping, and the gun didn't arrive for a week. All my emails were ignored. That aside, the revolver is a very nice replica. It shoots holes through soup cans, which is all you can ask of a Co2 pistol. Accuracy is better than expected, I could hit a bottle consistently from about 60-70 feet away. Only con that I can think of is the removable left grip tends to come lose. It never falls off, just feels sloppy in your hand. This can be fixed time to time by bending the clips outward. One last side note, the barrel measures 7" just like the original, not the 8" described. Overall a very nice replica.
ProsAccurate Powerful Authentic
ConsLoose grip

Another Great Replica
Great construction, the Taiwan replicas from KWC and other makers are just the best, these guys have it figured out after 20 years of airsoft replicas.
ProsAn unusual replica, even the PB Schofields are a rare item, this replica makes it easy to won one.
ConsNone so far, it likes the Hornady Black BBs

1877 Old West Military Sidearm Designed and Used by the U.S. Army's Calvary Units.
Just like with the Colt Peacemaker, if you like exactness in air gun design replication, then add this piece of old west military history to your collection. Bear River Outdoors is relatively new as a manufacturer within the air gun industry, but has already hit a home run in my opinion with this iconic military sidearm. The U.S. Army loved the design of this single action handgun because of its .44 caliber stopping power and quick reload capability, and I have to say that Bear River has obviously invested a lot of thought into replicating every aspect of this very impressive military piece. Power, accuracy (even with fixed sights), and smooth action top break design are all hallmarks of this Schofield replica. If Wyatt Earp had served in the military he would have loved the long eight inch barrel design of this well balanced "hand held cannon." If you're into pure replicated beauty then this one is a have to have!
Pros- Attention to detail and exactness in every aspect of its design. - A pure collector's addition. - Considering the quality of design and craftsmanship, the price is a steal in my opinion.
Cons- None so far.

Schofiled No. 3 Revolver
This is a very well made replica pistol that accurately represents one of the popular handguns of the west in the 1870's. It is a great way to collect some of the "antique" guns without the cost of an original or cartridge replica gun.
ProsExcellent finish and detail.

Same pistol that killed jesse james
i don't have this one yet ,but I have been waiting and will probably buy this from airgun depot as soon as the bills are paid. This is a sweet looking copy of the basic Schofield pistol that has starred in movies like the Unforgiven with Clint Eastwood and Jesse James with Brad Pitt , Jesse gave this as agift to Charlie ford at dinner at his home and then was shot in the back of the head with it ( the fancier version) . If it is as true to likeness as the Webley .455 and uses the same speed loader and ammo you will get my order at the 1st. of Sept. I gave it 5 stars based on the views here and knowing how great this site is and their policies are. I have waited a long time for some one to get the Schofieild revolver in and at last here it is. Thanks Airgun Depot you will be hearing from me shortly Kevin

Fun Pistol!
This is a great BB pistol for the price. Very authentic and has great weight. Excellent accuracy with the 7" barrel. Chrono'd over 500 fps on an 82 degree day.
ProsThe Co2 in the handle is similar to the Colt bb pistol with the built in wrench. The Webley shells work perfectly but the speed loaders will not. You can use the Dan Wesson speed loaders with Webley shells.
ConsMy only complaint is the lousy plastic packaging. Charge $3.00 more and put it in a box!

Very Cool"
I liked the break open action ,I also have the Webley It's easy to load and shoot
ProsBreak action, shares the same shells as the Webley,Very well made and sturdy,The opening lever grabs both sides of lock Looks good and makes a nice collectable.
ConsI wish it came in a collectable box like the Webley did instead of the plastic pkg.that most guns come in today other than that.No other complaints
