Major George W. Schofield, a U.S. Army ordinance officer assigned to the 10th Cavalry, sought to improve on Smith & Wesson's Model No. 3 design and it became so popular that the U.S. Army ordered 8000 of the Schofield No. 3's, and many were used by the 4th Cavalry in the Geronimo campaign and by the Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry. Later on the pistol was favored by members of the James-Younger gang.

The Barra version of this legendary gun features the same top-break design, 6 realistic cartridges, and an authentic single action hammer. Powered by one 12 g CO2 cartridge, our version is capable of shooting BB's out at 430 fps through its 7" barrel!

Gun functions well and is about as accurate as you can expect from a smooth bore bb gun

Well made about as close as one could expect to the real thing. I was glad to see they got rid of the billboard on the side.

I would remove the safety, but I imagine some states require it.

Reading about Jessie James and knowing he used a Scofield I thought it was such a cool gun. I went to Northfield Minn. To see his failed robbery there. They have a Scofield and other guns there. This is a faithful reproduction. Beautiful, heavy, just so cool love it.

Every thing about it.

Don't like the white print on the side... I can live w it.

I have four pellet hand guns but the Schofield no.3 is the best pellet hand gun ever. It has the feel of the real thing. All metal, quality workmanship, nice trigger pull, and accurate.

This is a great air gun. All metal construction well made. Having done Cowboy Action shooting for years, found it to be expensive. But owning an air gun and doing target practice is a great way to save money. This was my first air gun revolver and I liked it so much I purchased the Schofield #3 Nickel version as well. They both fit in my holsters and they look like real guns.

Inexpensive Great Quality, well made Can shoot both BBs and pellets, if you get the pellet casings. All metal construction Great display piece

No Con that I can find.

Only bad thing and reason I deducted one star is because of the cheap plastic grips it's shoots straight and accurate especially with the pellets. FYI the English Webley was an illegal copy of the Smith & Wesson model 3

I would say it's almost exact way with him an ounce or two of the original model 3 Smith & Wesson

Plastic grips. Not very appealing

Amazing BB gun great fun.

All metal with plastic grips.

Plastic grips. (would like to see wood grips as a replacement to buy)

The top break Schofield reminds me of the English Webley pistols. Bear River has made a very fine replica of the Schofield pistol this is a long barreled pistol a little on the heavy side. Has a nice feel to it the long barrel makes it pretty accurate. If you have a peacemaker pistol this is a nice companion for it to add to your collection.

Excellent reproduction, nice feel, accurate fun to shoot

Cannot think of any

Thank you so much for shipping this awesome Schofield pistol within a very timely manner. I have ordered a couple of other products from you and your customer service is without a doubt fantastic. I am retired and a veteran so I really appreciate the quality of the products I have gotten from you. Keep up the good work and God Bless You and all those who are with you. Sincerely George W Paulson DAV.

Well made functions well, but a little disappointing in accuracy compared to the Colt Peacemaker pellet revolver. When they make this with a rifled barrel I will probably order another one.

good trigger, functions well

large groups, shoots to the left about an inch and a half at 20 feet

I am very impressed with this gun. The function and detail are very good. The next best thing to owning a real Schofield No. 3. Thanks, Airgun Depot!

Function, weight and handling. It is a large pistol very real in appearance.

Been having trouble looking for a holster that would fit this thing, any suggestions?

asked Michael from USA

Is this the same gun as the ASG? Thanks.

asked Henry from USA

It may be made by the same factory. The BB/pellet version has plastic grips.

Mark from USA

Will the Schofield No. 3 BB Revolver shoot dart?

asked James from USA

Darts are inserted in the muzzle. You would load the empty cartridges and shoot .

Mark from USA

The pellets load into the shells? How many extra shell should I buy.

asked Daniel from USA

Yes. Pellets load in each shell individually. The gun takes 6. Order in multiples of 6.

Mark from USA

Would you buy this again and reccomend a friend?
