The Crosman Drifter Kit gives you the ability to have both a pellet pistol and a rifle in one airgun because it comes with all the parts needed to change from one to the other. It reaches speeds of up to 550 fps and is a great option if you're looking to plink for fun or improve your aim with target practice.
The feature that interests people the most is that this kit comes with a removable shoulder stock as well as a removable ambidextrous textured pistol grip. This lets you have all of the power and accuracy of a rifle, plus the light and maneuverable option of shooting a pistol. The barrel is rifled, so you get accurate shots no matter which option you choose, and the package comes with accessories that add convenience.
This airgun is compatible with various aftermarket parts, meaning you can easily customize it even further to meet your needs. Plus, it's a multi pump gun, so the power is variable with how many pumps you choose to use for each shot. That means it can give you different results in different situations depending on what you want it to do.
The package of accessories Crosman gives you with this combo includes a soft case with a shoulder strap that fits the airgun and accessories, and the case can be rolled or folded to save space when you're not using it. Also, there's a pouch with three hook and loop straps that fits on the buttstock for easy access to accessories, and a tin of 400 Crosman Piranha .22 cal pellets.
If you're in the market for an affordable airgun that comes with everything needed to get started right out of the box, and also lets you switch it from a pistol to a rifle, get the Crosman Drifter Kit today at Airgun Depot.

Pros
Great product! Fast, Helpful service.
Cons
Nothing
after tweaking this gun, I am pretty happy over all. after realigning the barrel and sighting in it seemed ok. after reading some reviews about the wobbly stock, I highly recommend drilling out the stock dead center in the "Crossman" logo and use the screws provided with handles to make everything tight. this recommendation worked perfect and made the gun feel much more stable, and fun. for the price you can't beat it , it is powerful and accurate at 30ft. or more and is a really fun little rifle. air gun depot is always the best and shipping is always lightning fast!
Pros
after being sighted in , it is pretty accurate
Cons
plastic breach and wobbly stock as well as misaligned barrel
Plastic breech seems OK. Will see how it does for now. Many pumpers have a sweet spot. Too many pumps makes it slower. This example seems to have one at seven pumps. Five to seven pumps works best. Typical Crosman barrel. They work best with some dirt left in them. Pellets like to ride on top of the rifling and not cut in too much on theirs.
Pros
Good design. Has potential.
Cons
Arrived poorly aligned. Front sight now straight and rear sight aligned. Barrel now seated in plastic breech.
When I opened my box I was short on pellets. After I contacted support a lady named Erika sent me to containers of pellets. I got a tin of 125 pointed pellets and then Erika sent me 2 more tins of 175 pellets. I'd say Airgun Depot support went above and beyond making it right. The box says it comes with a 400 count tin of pellets. Thank you Erika and Airgun Depot.
Pros
It's an excellent back yard plinking fun. Very accurate.
Cons
#1I didn't like the hand grips not matching.
#2 it's very hard to pump. I couldn't get to 10 pumps.
Swap to steel breech and put on an optic. Also found shoulder stock to feel loose, drilled out at crosman logos and screws line up in grips.
Pros
Accurate & pretty powerful.
Cons
Pump arm is a little wobbly & front sight blade is pretty tall.
WOW
Pros
Accuracy - quietness-balance, especially with the 14" barrel
Cons
None. This is a pleasure to use and SUPER accurate
Get the steel receiver here, gonna be my next purchase along with a spare pistol
Pros
Great carbine
Cons
Stock is a bit wiggly and the button to remove the stock it difficult to work, hand to modify my grip so it wouldn't bother my thumb
I compared this 2289CFKT verses the 2240 with optional stock; the drifter with a descent scope, while the 2240 has a red dot scope. The 2240 seems much more powerful the the 2289 even with the 2240 short barrel and CO2 cartridge. Wish the 2289 had more punch! Both were accurate 10 to 20 yards.
Pros
Looks good with longer barrel. Had high hopes that as a .22 calibur this would fit in the accurate range of 10 to 20 yards with power from manual pumping (10 pumps).
Cons
An option of CO2 cartridge. Single shot and 10 pumps is a little time consuming.
Just got it, seems like a good gun. Not much for me to compare it to, except my Benjamin HB-22. This gun is way easier to pump, and shoots harder..
Pros
Shoots well. .22 is my preferred small caliber.
Cons
Lots of plastic. The front sight was loose, and moved all around. I used some glue to secure it. The pistol grip requires a screwdriver to remove. Better if it snapped on and off like the shoulder stock.

I love this little rifle kit (Crossman drifter) it has become my favorite!...I had a problem when first assembled with the loose stock most mention in their reviews , but if you are careful and drill out right where the Crossman logos are located on the stock , you can reuse the existing screws and it tightens up so nice! (do not over tighten) I know it is supposed to just snap in place, but mine was so loose that I lost accuracy. I do not mind taking the few seconds it takes to remove the screws if I want to break it down, even though I do not see myself breaking it down ever. I have plenty of pistols and this is awesome as a carbine! Be sure to oil as directed and this gun will soon become your most carried ...great all around target, plinking and small game rifle hands down!! Love everything about it! I wish that I discovered this before I spent almost 300 bucks for my Diana LP8 Magnum!! my opinion is the LP8 is junk in comparison.
Pros
this thing is Sweet!
Cons
loose fitting stock... they need to put screw holes so you can tighten it down
