Pros
Came sooner then expected
Cons
I think 3 co2's would make a big difference
Nothing
Pros
I have owned the M40 and the M1A1 Thompson BB guns for about two years now and they are fun to shoot! I do not have any problems with the Crossman C02 cartages. But I do like the silver BBs they seem to work better especially with the M1A1 Thompson. I did have a problem, I kept having to reload the darn things so I bought three extra clops for each BB gun. It was a big pain the reload 4 clips all of the time BBs everywhere especially trying to hold the spring-loaded BB nub catch to stay open while loading. So, I designed a way to load the clips very fast, it only takes a few seconds (about 3sec each clip) with no spilled BBs. I also bought a longer Allen wrench because it was difficult to judge when the C02 cartridges were punctured. I friend and war game with Plaster of Paris WWII tanks (look on YouTube “mrdstony” to see those tanks 1/35 scale), anyway we needed a close in weapon for out game and the legends guns are prefect.
Cons
Sometimes the guns seem to jam after about several hundred rounds or after the silicon oil builds up after repeated C02 a little spray of WD40 seems to clear it up, just remember to use the silicon oil after shooting on the seals of the gum.
Get extra mags, alot of Co2 if you get jams just fix it and keep going no big deal. test your item upon receipt for functionality so you may exchange it before warranty expires. then you can go ahead and display it like i have.
Pros
great replica! would purchase again. weight and feel is awesome. functions as it should and what you would expect from a bb gun. recommend.
Cons
jams do happen, but its just a bb gun so correct and move on. eats Co2 but yeah it blowback ofcourse.
Dont buy until they fix the magazine. They know it doesnt work and sell it to you anyway instead of fixing it. A sign of a bad company.
Pros
Gun part is good but magazine still has issues. Im on my second mag and uts worse that the original. They both horrible and dont feed most of the time. It doesnt matter if you stagger the bbs or not
Cons
doesnt work. Steel storm is only good umarex. Not steel force .Steel storm
I followed the included directions to a "t"! After loading the CO2 cartridges and installing the piercing screw with the hex wench I attempted to dry fire before loading to "ensure the cartridges were seated and pierced", as per the directions. It specifically read "do not load BBs until a dry fire produces a popping sound". Wouldn't work, so I tightened more. Gave up, removed screw allowing drainage of CO2 and found the O ring busted from overtightening. Called Umarex, they told me the manual was wrong, IT WON'T FIRE WITHOUT A BB! If the manual was correct this wouldn't have occurred! The O rings, piercing screw are back ordered, no ETA. I was told to try back in a couple of weeks to check again. I offered to prepay and have it shipped when it arrived."We don't do that, you'll have to call back" was the response. So, disregard the dry shot part and load the magazine, consider the crappy customer service when considering this item. My friend's worked great, he didn't read the directions
Pros
Shooting my friend's exact duplicate.
Cons
Not being able to shoot mine and having to purchase a new magazine so I could.
I have read almost everything I can find on this BB gun and watched YouTube videos. Biggest concern I see in the reviews are loading the magazines. A YouTube video cleared this up for me. Get an old rag or towel to place your magazine on; this keeps the BB's from getting away to the floor. Notice the spring has a "Locking" position (had to go back and read the owner's manual to figure this out). Lock the spring in place and feed the magazine; simple. Can use a small funnel if you choose but I load by hand; takes less than couple minutes. My biggest challenge is the correct amount of tension to tighten the CO2 tension screw on the bottom of the magazine. Beware of this very important process if you are a beginner. It is easy to leave gas in the cylinders and loose some shooting time and you DO NOT want to over tighten. No matter your experience level, read the owner's manual. Love this BB gun!!!
Pros
All metal as far as I can tell, sturdy, made to last a lifetime. Fun, Fun, Fun to shoot and is much more accurate than one would expect for a full auto. Full auto is amazing. Magazines are easy to load once you get the hang of it. Easy to clean up after an afternoon of shooting. Curb appeal of this BB gun is off the charts! Love the retractable stock (it is all metal too!).
Cons
Nothing except my wife refuses to let me purchase another!
This is my second Umarex Airgun and I am really liking the quality, feel, and accuracy of their guns!
Pros
This thing is Awesome! After reading all the reviews, I was expecting to have problems loading the magazine because I have nerve damage in my hands, but it was easy and the magazine has a catch that holds the spring open for loading!
Cons
I wish that I had bought more magazines!
Pros
Sturdy, quality craftsmanship .. feels like a reg AR, and has that mean look. CO2 loads easily and I'm now on my 2nd mag and no slow down yet. Everything about it is great ...except for ...
Cons
The loading! You need at least 1/4in fingernail to get the spring slide back .. the u have to find the little teeny nitch it catches on .. then after 4-5 attempts you are ready to load. I havent perfected it yet but its not easy.
Pros
Fun to shoot. Everyone I have let shoot it is always left smiling.
Cons
70% of the time one of the CO2s doesn't puncture. And I tighten it right down, (I'm a lumberjack, for real that's my job) to the point where I'm afraid that I'm going to break something. Kind of an expensive useless toy to have such an elementary issue.
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product.can the white lettering on side be scraped off or is it etched in
asked JASON from USADo Crosman co2 cartridges work with this model? I have heard they might be problematic with this gun. Any thoughts?
asked Jeremiah from USASaw an empty Crosman CO2 cartridge in half, and you will know why not to use Crosman. Full of thick sticky grease Use Daisy, much better, Also Crosman BB's are a no go as well
Raymond from USAWhat can be done to keep magazines from jamming
asked allen from USAA touch of dry graphite works wonders mine went from jam-o-matic to flawless full auto mag dumps
Raymond from USAUmarex or daisy bb s work fine, Umarex has a list of the do not use brands. Be sure the bbs stager In the magazine exact with no uneven spaces, a drop of gun oil at the top and bottom of the bb channel in the mag coating the bb s slightly, this can compromise shot grouping but guarantee dumping a full 52 shot mag in less than 3 seconds.
Matt from USAUse Umarex BB's . Crosmans tend to jam in the MP40 mags.
