This is my second big let down by Umarex and I am afraid to purchase another one of their products. I sent them an email regarding the issue I had with the Steel Strike and never heard back from them. The other disappointment was their Steel Storm, didn't get a lot of use out of that either before the spring became a serious issue--that is before popping out.
Pros
It was really fun for a brief time.
Cons
I didn't use it a lot, by that I mean I never loaded the main bb storage more than one time before this gun suddenly quit firing.
This is my third Umarex, and my third disappointment. I should have spent a little more and purchased a better quality gun. Just a little better components and these would be great guns.
Pros
High capacity magazine. Easy loading.
Cons
Eats CO2 Cartridges, two at a time. On 6 round burst you may get 2-3 mag loads and they are done. Single shot lasts a while longer. Mag gets stuck, have to pull like you’re going to break it to remove it. Not accurate over 25 feet. 6 round bursts are all over the target. I have a Steel Strike, it lasted a week before a gasket went bad in the mag, but it was a much more accurate gun and didn’t eat CO2. The design flaw in the mag is easy to fix, just needs the top 4mm O Ring replaced with a more durable one. Once I get the O Ring replacement, this one is going in the closet as a backup.
I've shot about 1000 rounds through it so far in the week that I've had it. The reloading of BBs that are in the hopper is so much better than the Steel Storm and Steel Force. This will be the abolustely perfect gun for running through cheap BBs if I can figure out how to convert this to bulk CO2 or HPA. I'm burning through 4 or more 12g CO2 cartridges every day.
Pros
Accurate to at least 10 yards with a my Red Dot 1x scope.
Cons
You will burn through CO2.
This is waaay better than expected.2nd try with Umarex steel models. This is the bomb! 1000 plus bb,shows no signs of slowing down. Accurate, powerful, just plain cool. Get one!
Does it last long, or does is worth the 100$ cause if it is im gonna buy with a couple of accesoris cuz im new in san antonio and i wanna have fun
Fast service, package arrived 3 days early. Tons of fun for plinking around. Not a target gun but spraying bbs everywhere is a blast.
The Steel Strike, is a cheap m4 great plinking and doing some other things
Pros
Great weapon easy to handle easy to control
Cons
None
Buy lots of CO2 because you will need it! I purchased the Steel Strike for my kids this Christmas but not enough CO2 or BBs. We have shot about 3,000 BBs through this gun so far. The stock will fit younger shooters and adults. And I have to admit that I do my fair share of shooting with this.
Pros
Easy bb feeding. Mag holds 900 and has the easiest charging mechanism I've ever seen.
6 round burst!!
surprisingly good trigger
Cons
Not really anything. Everyone loves this.
This Umarex STEEL STRIKE: cool looking BB rifle, But is this STEEL STRIKE just a variation on the Steel Force with the same type of junk mechanism that has a lifespan of about a thousand rounds before it breaks and stops working ? Or is the STEEL STRIKE better quality, with a more reliable, Heavy Duty mechanism that can be accessed to apply oil to and will deliver a couple of years of shooting fun ? We gotta know before we buy it , because the Umarex Steel Force looks good but is an absolute piece of junk on the quality and mechanical side, and an insult to buyers that spent their money on it.
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. What size is the rail?

asked Carl from USABB's only.
Mark from USACan u change out the front and rear sights? No matter how i aim, it shoots way low and this is with brand new co2. It shot accurate this first day. But thats it. I bought it tuesday. And i was only shooting at 30-50 ft. Away. Can u adjust the sights at all
asked Jesse H HansenIs it durable? Can it handle excessive use for long periods of time?

Pros
When working the 6 shit burst is great ,
Cons
The loading of the bb's is horrendous that spring catches bbs and kinks . Loading the CO2 Is brutal the seal rips, leaks after maybe 8 reloads it was screwed
