Pros
Light Weight, Short Easy to Handle
Cons
After Shooting 200 Pellets The Cocking lever Will Not Go Forward Far Enough To Cock Rifle. My Thumb is Hurting From Pushing It. The Quality is Missing From AirForce Talon SS. My Gamo Urban on The Other Hand Is a Joy to Shoot and More Accurate To Boot.
I read a lot of reviews on the range of Airforce air rifles and decided on the .22 Talon SS. The rifle arrived within 4 days and the quality out of the box showed this was a well made product. I got the Hawke scope combo and had it all setup and zeroed in within a few hours. You'll definitely need the high scope rings. I tried it with the medium height rings first and it was too low. Love the lower weight of the Talon as it's still pretty easy to maneuver even with the added scope, bi-pod and butt plate I put on.
First time out to 25 yards, the gun was very accurate. Shooting dime and nickle sized groups of five shots easily. I went with the JSB Exact Jumbo Diabolo 15.89 grain pellets as many of the reviews said this was one of the best pellets for the rifle and they were right. Hand pumping is tough when the tank is new. It takes a while to get to 3000psi and the last 500 were tough. But after the first time, you'll learn to recharge around 2000psi and it'll take about 10 - 15 minutes. Always stop and let the pump cool after 5 minutes as many on the reviews says heat is what kills a hand pump.
As for the sound level the Talon SS makes, it's not super quiet. So if you're planning on using this in your backyard and you live in the city where the distance between you and the next house isn't that far, your neighbors will definitely hear it activity. But there are aftermarket shrouds for the Talon SS and with the additional shroud, it's very quiet and backyard friendly now. I've had it for a few weeks now and put over 300 rounds through it and it's great.
The only issue I had was the product DVD wouldn't play. I called Airforce's support line and gave them my serial number and they shipped a new DVD out the next day. So my limited service experience was good too. Overall, I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for a light, accurate, air rifle.
Pros
Light weight, very accurate, variable power, and lots of after market accessories.
Cons
Single shot capacity. Would be great if they made a version that was semi-auto with a magazine.

At 8 months of ownership and 200 pellets the cocking lever stuck, Became impossible to push hard enough to cock (Wrecked my Thumb). Paid to Send to Airforce Air Guns under warranty. Four weeks later it came back, Three shots later the Safety switch is sporadically not disengaging. Fixed one thing and another goes bad.
Pros
Light weight, Large air tank, Large shot count. Pressure gauge on side and shoots fairly accurate.
Cons
Dependability. Very disappointed in a USA made air rifle quality.
