The frame of the M9A3 is anodized aluminum, and I could see this is plastic; but my eyes still bugged out! It's a bit lighter overall, and the grips are fatter then the A3,(which was one of the main goals of the A3-slimmer more ergonomic grips), but it was close enough that when I pressed the mag release subconsciously expecting the usual empty mag to slip into my fingers, the very heavy CO-2 containing mag blew through my fingers and landed on my foot! OW!
When I first loaded CO-2 and tried to dry fire it...NOTHIN! 3 times. The valve was stuck! I put some silicone lube on it, and tried again. After 3 more pulls of the trigger..it worked.
Out of the box, after getting the valves to work, it functioned OK, but some things would stick, and there were a few niggles with functioning issues. So later, as I watched some Hogan's Hero's reruns, I kept hand cycling the gun working levers, switches etc. BTW, It also breaks down almost exactly like an M9! Now it really feels spooky real! And I think the trigger is actually better than on any M9 I ever used.
The safety doesn't De-Cock, it just dis-connects the trigger.
Accuracy- For me, from 7-15 meters, it's about 4cm's (2in) low, and 1.5 cm's (1.5ish inches) to the left. And that was using the standard Beretta combat, put the front sight on the target sighting. My aimed groups are about 6cm's, or 3 inches or so.
After several cartridges, its seems to be staying consistent as mentioned. Shooting through y 25 year SHOOTING CHRONY-Beta, gave the following data fo 10 shots:
Meh...You'll kill paper, and might really..um.. piss off a mouse- if you can hit it ;)
Negatives- Not much! The suppressor thread nut on the end, threads onto a double threaded end piece that keeps un-threading from the main barrel assembly. LOCTITE?!
For the price- !!OH YEAH!! Totally worth it! And the look on my wife's face after shooting full auto- PRICELESS! :D
Shoot straight. Shoot fast, Shoot often! :D
You're 'ALMOST' always friendly FlaFeralCat. :)
