If you're like the rest of us, precision is the most important thing a gun should offer. If you can't hit your target, what use is it? And, that's where BSA guns really shine! The cold hammer-forged barrel delivers shots exactly where you want them to go. BSA has a reputation for making highly accurate sporting guns, and the Buccaneer SE air rifle is a perfect example of that. Whether you plan to hunt, plink in the backyard or shoot competitively in field target, one of the Buccaneer calibers should be on your short list. If you shoot field target, then .177-caliber is for you. Same with plinking. If you plan to hunt and plink, pick .22 caliber. Made in Birmingham, England, in a state-of-the-art facility by experienced gunsmiths who take pride in their craft.

The SILENTIUM is BSA's latest and most technologically advanced noise reduction system to date. Integrated into the muzzle of each rifle barrel SILENTIUM allows the pellet to pass freely while effectively reducing the majority of noise expansion. This clever new design dissipates significantly more sound than ever before through its internal air chambers, thus suppressing noise expansion up to 82% when compared to standard muzzle report.

When I received my Buccaneer .25 cal I couldn't believe the accuracy. 1" grouping at 50 yards. I can get about 35 shots before running out of air. My rifle did come with a small leaking fill valve. Used teflon tape and replaced the O rings but the leak continued. I called Gamousa.com which imports BSA rifles. They offered me a newly designed pressure gauge and fill port. Also, if you want extra parts, especially magazines, they carry them in all calibers for $49.95 That is about 20 bucks cheaper than anywhere. I have a high pressure 4500psi compressor that fills the Buccaneer to 3300psi in less than a minute.

Pros
Accuracy! Has a nice ring to it when you pull the trigger. Decent kick, also.

Cons
Bolt is a little tight and rough when cocking. A little on the heavy side.

My bucaneer came in leaking from the fill valve. I didnt feel like returning it since it was an easy fix. I just ran to my local ace hardware, picked up an o-ring and boom, now i love this gun! Super accurate, but does have quite some drop on the bullet after approx. 150ft. Really does some damage!

Pros
Very powerful!

Cons
Came with a leak (easy fix)

I purchased my .22 caliber BSA Buccaneer Silentium Soft Touch because I wanted an affordable PCP rifle I would not be sorry for buying. The BSA brand has been in existence for many years and is associated with prestige and quality. Until Airgun Depot made the Buccaneer affordable to me BSA rifles were always a few hundred dollars out of my price range. Thanks to Airgun Depot I purchased my Buccaneer and a quality scope for right around $500.00—Great Deal For A PCP and A Scope. When I received my Buccaneer I noticed on inspection that it was light weight, elegantly compact, not exhausting to aim without a rest, and it was very easy to grip due to the rubberized material used to produce the stock. The rifle is beautiful; it does not look like a piece of military hardware. I chose the UTG Hunter 4-16X40 AO scope for my rifle. This scope has a large objective bell and there is not much step-down from the receiver to the barrel. The scope with its flip-up lens covers installed was very close to the barrel. Rather than take a chance and damage parts when everything was torqued down I added a UTG Drooper scope rail. The scope sits high but I had no problem sighting in. If you purchase this rifle the scope and ring deserve careful consideration. With my scope installed I shot groups of ten at 21 yards on my backyard range with two pellets I keep on hand, Crosman Premier Hollow Points 14.3gr. and JSB Exact Jumbo 15.89gr. The Crosman pellets shot very well but the groups were not as tight as those shot with the JSB pellets. I will use the JSB pellets because they work best for me but, I am very pleased that if I have to I can run down to the local discount store and purchase a comparable substitute. As long as I do not move while firing the rifle I can count on the pellets going where I aim every shot. I can shoot through two magazines with a 2900 psi fill before pellets start to fly. My rifle is not as quiet as I thought it would be with the large silencer attached to the end of the barrel. My next door neighbor says if his windows are up he can hear me shooting. He says it is not intolerable but he knows when I am shooting. I followed the lead of another person in the air gun community and wrapped the silencer with electrical tape to cover the vent holes. The tape further reduced the noise to the point that he does not know when I am shooting unless he walks out onto his back porch and sees me. The BSA Buccaneer Silentium Soft Touch is a rifle I am glad I was able to finally own. This rifle is a good purchase. I am not sorry about buying it.

Pros
The rifle make shooting effortless almost.

Cons
The silencer needs more work. I had to wrap it with electrical tape to further reduce the noise.
