Want a "sure thing"? Get this new 1322 American Classic. It's a multi-pump and you can use it at whatever effort level you're at. Can't pump it 10 times? That's okay because you can still have fun with just 3 pumps.

One of the unique features is the fully adjustable rear sight which can be flipped 180 degrees to switch between peep and notch sights. A screw secures the rear sight to the configuration you select. Buy the optional 459MT intermount to mount optics or upgrade with the steel breech option- then you'll have 3/8" dovetails and you won't need the intermount. The upgrade removes your rear sight, but there's a kit version that includes a 2-dot rear sight that fits on the 3/8" dovetails.

With traditional Crosman reliability built into this pistol, you'll be enjoying it for many years. This air gun is suitable for plinking, popping paper targets, hitting spinners and killing tin cans.

New grip and pump-lever configuration, same great pistol!

No co2 is a good thing when you're traveling light. A tin of pellets and my pellet pen and out the door I go. I'm plenty accurate at 30-40 yards with high quality pellets. Light weight, well balanced. Built like a tank.
ConsNone at the price point
Best UsesPlink, pack, plunder.

My "go to" air gun:
February 27, 2019
I own several airguns including springer, nitro piston, hand pump , and CO2 guns. The Crosman 1322, although not as powerful as most of the others in my collection, is my favorite for backyard target shooting, pest control, and small game hunting with careful shot placement. I find the others too big, too heavy, and too noisy for convenient and discrete use in the field. The 1322 is light enough and small enough to carry just about anywhere. And it is powerful enough and accurate enough with a small scope to take small game with clean head shots out to 20 or 25 yards. The steel breech accessory is necessary for mounting a scope. The low recoil of the 1322 simplifies usage with a scope. Using the right pellet and ten pumps the 1322 will readily shoot through both sides of a metal vegetable can filled with water at those distances. And you can pick out the exact spot on the can you want to hit. To get the most from this gun, you will need the optional detachable stock that turns it into a mini rifle. I carry the 1322 with scope and detached stock in a case inside my backpack for harvesting fresh meat when camping. I have a 1377 but prefer the 1322. Both are excellent and well designed guns.
ProsAccurate. Hard hitting. Simple. Reliable. Versatile. Discreet. Light weight, even for the back packer. Easy to repair or modify, and there are many accessories and tutorials available for it online.
ConsThere was a quality control problem in the last 1322 I bought. The air transport holes in the pumping air chamber and air storage valve were out of alignment. This reduced the size of the air passage from valve to barrel by about 50%. The problem seems to be in the valve itself. The two halves of the valve are screwed together and if the threads are off the slightest amount the air outlet hole will not line up with the air transport hole through which the compressed air must pass to enter the barrel and push the pellet forward. I am attaching photos of the problem. I notified Crosman but have not heard back from them as yet. This is something you might want to check if you buy one of these guns and intend to use it for anything other than plinking. It is easily checked when you disassemble the gun to install the steel breach accessory.

Good for getting rid of small pest rodents and birds. Particularly when the power of an air rifle could result in a stray projectile.

Bought this for ...hasenpfeffer. Added the steel breech and a modified 11mm red dot (11mm will NOT fit 3/8ths dovetails without machining). So far, 1/2" groups at 35'. Need to polish pump tube and do some trigger work. Quieter than CCI .22 low noise shorts in a 20" rifle... If you're not trying to be ...discreet... needs the carbine stock. Otherwise, a brace (fencepost, porch rail, etc.) works. Trigger is rough... a bit of 800 grit on the trigger and sear ... and you get ...rabbit stew.
ProsNice grips.
ConsHard to pump up to 10 ...or 12 (not recommended).

I like the way I can limit the power of the pellet with this gun..I can scare cats and squirrels with it without worrying about hurting them too much..And I can turn up the power to kill rats.

My most used pellet gun

This gun goes everywhere with me. When it's too cold for co2, this one works fine. It will take squirrels at close range but sometimes a 2nd shot is required.wirks
ProsWorks in very cold weather. Not finiky which pellets you use. Decent power.

Awsome buy!!!

I bought this 22 cal version and modded it (there are so many options) I use mine for pest control. I feed the birds and squirrels ect.. but one day I noticed a rat eating the bird seed so I opened my screen on my window And the rat took off so I went in the kitchen and pumped it up 60 pumps and put a 24.62 grain H&N Rabbit Magnum pellet in and waited for him. when he returned I aimed for his head and he flipped on his back right through his eye's, this gun was magnum loaded I call it.when I first tested it after mod I pumped it up 55 times and put a 32,.4 grain Eunjin pointed pellet in and let it sit for 3 hours to see if it would blow the seals or leak and to my surprise nothing so I shot a tree with it and the pellet sunk a half inch into the tree, I was like wow almost as much power as my hatsan BT65 pcp 22 rifle that is also modded by me and gets sick fps and fpe
ProsGreat price, can be modded, accurate out of the box,can take the longer 22 pellets, mine can match or exceed high end single cock 22 rifles.
Conswell not really a con for what it is but makes a lot of noise pumping it.

Really Fun
November 22, 2016
I've had my 1322 for almost a year and it's been a joy to shoot. Pumping it up is a little tasking at first, but you get used to it over time. The trigger is solid metal and the gun feels really good in the hand. The only downsides are that the sights are not great and it's loud. I do have a problem with my action and barrel wiggling, which impairs my accuracy. Though I have managed to dispatch a few birds along the way.
ProsFeels good in the hand, packs a punch, fun, decent trigger.
ConsSights, loud, wiggly action and barrel.

One of my favorites

I love the crosman 13xx guns, because there are soo many aftermarket parts. It is an air pistol that can easily be converted to carbine with a steel breech kit, longer barrel and stock from an old backpacker. This gun is no different I bought a 1377 for my first go at making my air pistol "my own" and loved it so much that a second 1322 HAD to be bought.
Prosmulti pump- non CO2 reliant reliably accurate endless mods .22 over .177 (if you count that a plus, I do) lightweight (even with after market parts)
Constrigger (though easily fixable) is a bit crummy sights/breech that come with gun are okay- strongly recommend the steel breech kit

Fun wile it lasts.
June 15, 2015
Pump level seems really flimsy and easy to break if you dont pump it the correct way from side to side.
Other than that its a fun lil gun. but you can get your hand pinched wyle pumping if not careful.
ProsLooks nice. Hits hard. Fun.
ConsMade cheap. easily bendable level for pumping. can easily get hand cough in the pump handle and cut your skin.

Power in a Pump Handgun.
May 6, 2015
When pumped 10X this handgun gives you the power and accuracy to really savage tin cans and other similar targets. This gun is the only 20mm pistol in my collection and I am sure it would be very efficient at pest control, if needed.
ProsPowerful, accurate, and CO2 cartridges not needed.
ConsSo far, none.
