Dan would have not liked this one, it is not well made, and .177 do not fit into the chamber, not even close to the Colt Peacemaker, witch is excellent. it does not line up when shooting , it looks ok put only on Paper. useless Gun,..very disapointing for the Money. stay away.

I have owned my 8 inch BB Dan Wesson for two years now, and I still look forward to getting it out the gun case. This was my first large hand gun and my first revolver. When browsing online I couldn't find a more beautiful airpistol, it's lines are truly stunning, especially in the 8 inch Nickel version. I decided on the 8 inch because I always feel bigger is better! (also it shoots at a higher FPS and should be more accurate than the shorter versions). I also think realism is important, the shell loading design stuck out from other revolver designs at the time, there's just a satisfying feeling as you load the shells one by one into the cylinder! The CO2 seems to last for ages, as you are only fireing 6 shot at a time. Finally, it is the perfect back garden plinker/target shooter, the 8 inch barrel allows you reach reach out to targets with great accuracy and pack a fair punch. Personally, I have achieved 3 inch groups at 78ft (26yr, 24m), on a calm day! It has worked faultlessly for the two years I've had it and I have recently discovered real wooden grips for it! Overall, I would recommend this airgun to anyone, a new shooter, experienced or someone simply looking for a fantastic looking gun!

WHAT A GREAT GUN. MORE THAN I EXPECTED. SHOOTS AND HANDLES WONDERFULLY. WILL BUY THE 6" VERSION SOON. EVERYBODY THAT I SHOW IT TOO THINKS IT'S A REAL .357 MAGNUM.

Pros
EXCELLENT DESIGN. BEAUTIFULLY MADE. SHOOTS GREAT.

Cons
CYLINDER COULD OPEN ABOUT ANOTHER 1/8".

After researching a while, it seemed like dan wesson's get the highest ratings so I decided to purchase one. I had trouble deciding which barrel length and what color, and I am very glad I picked this one.

Pros
Very nice looking gun, came with a tactical rail to mount accessories. 8" barrel looks amazing especially in silver. Its hard to find any revolver that looks this good. I also like how you load the bb's into shell casings, very realistic.

Cons
Plastic Grips, I was hoping since it was a bit on the expensive side they would supply nice wood or rubber grips. Unfortunately that is not the case, they are plastic grips that feel a bit flimsy at times but overall they at least made them look cool. Other than that it is a perfect gun.

My only complaint is the rather flimsy pistol grip. It feels crunchy and mobile. A well secured substantial grip would be a big improvement.

Pros
Nice finish. Mostly metal.

Cons
Cheap grip.

This is a cracking gun for the money, well made and the nickel finish is superb looks like stainless steel, think of this as the BB version of the Smith & Wesson 500 real firearm. Shoots well, economical on co2 to. Easy mod for more power but bear in mind it will use more co2. The only real fault is the grips have a slightly loose feel due to the slip off design of the co2 cover, its does seem to improve with use and in truth you soon get used to it. Its a great looking gun whats surprising is its based on the very first Dan Wesson from 1968!! It's a must for any co2 pistol collector. Some people say its front heavy and the 6 inch has a better balance, personally I've never noticed and the extra 2 inch gives a better sight picture in any case.

it hits hard and deserves to be a replica of a revolver, people say that its to front heavy but conditioning applies and can be tons of fun to use. biggest issue is that I'd prefer to have a black handle with the silver body, the brown handle looks cool but would be much more fit on the grey or black body gun, if your willing to buy 2 different colored revolvers or you know someone that's going to buy the black or grey, I would highly recommend you push to trade handles.

Pros
sexy silver finish can hit cqb and support players outside their primary guns range can attach optics, this can only be done on the 6 and 8 inch revolvers agreeable price for what your paying for, silver 8 inch is harder to find, but the same gun can go for 95 bucks in grey with a little digging

Cons
heavy front end takes some getting used too, hit the gym people! brown handle makes it look like an old man gun, don't get me wrong, its nice, but it looks better in my dads hands over mine C02 is hard to find if you don't have any local hobby shops

Why does this have 3 joule when the 6mm version goes much faster and has 2,7 joules?

Is it possible to buy more shells for the BBs and is it possible to buy a speedloader with it? Or does it already come with a speedloader? Also if I can buy more shells for the BBs, where at do I buy them?

What is the difference between this gun and the black version that is also on this website?

asked Andrew

The only difference is the color of the pistol, the grips, and the lettering. The functioning is exactly the same with both guns..
