The Hatsan Gladius PCP bullpup combines Hatsans reputation for reliability with a compact bullpup package. The Gladius bullpup features a synthetic stock with all the right options that really makes this bullpup standout including adjustable comb & butt pad, onboard storage for up to 3 extra magazines (which are included), a side lever for smooth cocking action, ambidextrous thumbhole stock, scope rail and three accessory rails on forend, the excellent Quattro trigger and a fully shrouded QuietEnergy barrel to keeps things extra quiet.

The Gladius also includes a brand new feature not seen before on a Hatsan PCP air rifle, Adjustable power settings. With a dial located next to the magazine, you can select one of 6 power settings to fine tune your rifles velocity and energy output based on your situation. Raise it to full power for hunting medium game, or dial it low for backyard blinking so you don't blow through your backstop (and to increase the amount of shots per fill). Excellent gun for the price!
Bought this gun for our son, our other guns are FX400, Daystate so it has a lot to live up to. First of all Air Gun Depot was great to deal with and shipped the merchandise as ordered. Out of the box first impression was good, Stock was rigid and finish was fair. Installed the scope charged the gun, put on the bench and had it driving nails in less than 15 shots. The trigger has a little bit of a long pull for my liking but after a few rounds you learn the trigger pretty quick. Seems like it hits it sweet spot about 160 bar and has no problem grouping shots in a dime size bulls eye. Keep in mind we are comparing against $1600 guns and to be honest this gun will shoot with them all day long. After 30 shots accuracy wanders and it is ready for a charge, but it is rated for 30 shots so who can complain. Final review.....you will not be disappointed with this air rifle!
ProsEasy to load clips, sturdy build, very functional safety Very Balanced, can pull off some very accurate free hand shots in the bullpup design.
ConsReally don't have one, but things that could make this an outstanding gun would be a lighter trigger and Offered with a larger air resevoir

Bought, Cleaned Barrel, Set Trigger and Grouped Tight at 60Yds
After lots of window shopping and watching video reviews I knew exactly what I was getting. I bought this rifle and an extra Air Cylinder. Upon unboxing the rifle I cleaned the barrel of any remaining machine grease as described by others. Most anyone online that complained of poor grouping failed to do this first. It's a must in any rifle / pistol used or new. I removed the stock to have better visibility of the trigger set screws and got her all set. I learned a lesson here. I set the trigger inside at 70F and went outside to shoot the rifle at 30F only to find the rifle had troubles staying cocked due to shrinkage of the metal components I had adjusted in the trigger. An in the field adjustment and I was back on track with a nice smooth trigger pull and tight groups. I shot on power level 3 all the way to 60yds.I found the H&N Barracuda Match (21.14gr) & AA Diablo Field Heavy (18gr) group the best with my rifle 10 shots making about a half dollar sized hole at 60 yards and a Quarter sized hole at 30 yards all without numb fingers and not being overly serious. I will say that if I filled the cylinder to 200 Bar the first 1 or 2 shots were flyers. This wasn't the case if filled to 190 or less; I expect that to change though once regulated. The H&N Field Target Heavy just didn't want to group at all during testing regardless of power level. This will all be rechecked upon installation of my Huma Regulator I have on order along with JSB Pellet options. Shot counts are great though I don't have a specific number (50+ ish) with air to spare. After regulator is installed I expect a great amount of shots to become an insane amount of shots. I removed the Strap Clips and the Clip Holders from the stock to compliment use of bags on the bench rest. The rail where you would attach a bipod creates a bit of a teetering when the rifle sets in my lead sled which made me sad because mine is old and doesn't want to adjust anymore. Hindsight makes me wish the stock had the same build as the Bullboss at the bottom of shoulder area for ease of rear bag use on the bench but I'm going to build a custom adjustable peg to install where the clips mount so that I can raise or lower the rear of the rifle on the bench. The Case they ship in is very nice and well laid out for extras like pellets, spare cylinder and tools. I will be buying a nice Bi-Pod for solid bench performance and an AR style foregrip for what I expect to be a great offhand experience. She is a big girl that feels great when you hold her close ::P The bottom line is Buy it and Love it; I know I did.
Pros1) Feels great tucked into the shoulder compared to other bulls. 2) Easy cocking access while shooting compared to Bolts Style Cocking near shoulder 3) Ships with 4 clips, Sling and a well thought out Case 4) Smooth target shooter @ 60yds on Power Level 3 5) High Shot Count
Cons1) Not so easy to adjust the height of rear stock due to Clip Storage placement 2) Sound at Power Level 6 could be better. 3) Can easily be double fed a pellet if you aren't paying attention for the "click" in cocking. (If you pull the trigger and nothing happens then you simply cock rifle back leaving open, remove the clip and then close cocking mech to fire. It's as simple as that. Train yourself to not recock and fire as you will have double fed the rifle.

Great gun
So the gladius that I purchased worked good for a couple weeks, I only shot maybe ten shots to get it sighted it in. The first time I took it out to really shoot it at my friends farm it would not cycle a magazine. This is the reason I am giving the gun 4 stars. The quality control is a little off at Hatsan. The bullboss I got previously had a bent air cylinder. BUT the pellets that I did get to shoot were a group or two of about three pellets in a half inch hole at my homemade target 44 yards away. The gladius I received was very accurate and I was excited to get it! Don't get discouraged by the weight!!! I'm 5'10 200 lbs. I've gone through periods of working out throughout my life but now I'm mostly a little chubby;) I'm getting to the point that I'm a pretty average fellow. And everyone that talks about this gun says its heavy but it's balanced well. THIS IS TRUE. Shouldered, this gun is so easy to hold and maneuver. And really feels like a much lighter gun than what the "specification" says. i honestly don't see why anyone couldn't carry this thing through the woods all day long unless you're a kid or on the more mature side of life. The weight distribution is simply awesome. So we have an accurate and comfortable gun, with a case, and four magazines. It's a good deal in my book. My incident was probably 1 in 2000 so don't let that discourage you. Airgun Depot was incredible with the replacement. It took a week from the time I contacted the customer service to when I got the replacement. AGD is a great company to do business with.
ProsAccurate Weight is great Case Magazines Trigger Exchangeable air cylinders Can get a regulator installed so easily
ConsMagazine wouldn't cycle on the first gun The magazines in the butt end are a little tough to get out, but you don't want them to fall out but I have to mention it.

myCollection: airforceTalonEscape, benjArmada, waltherDom, benBulldog - THIS IS MY FAV !!!
Shoots wonderfully, compact length but a solid block of metal this gun is. I wouldn't call it heavy but instead - well balanced, stable, and solid. re: traditional hatsan quirks (autoSafety, 50lb bolt pullback, scuba connection from god knows which town in hell, loud as (insert hell town name)) - many of these have been smoothed out or redone resulting in a much appreciated evolution to their workmanship. Lastly, and most notably, they deserve much more buyer awareness that despite most all pcp airgun companies answering the call for silenced or sound reduced shooting, hatsan's quiet energy, at least as it is expressed in the gladius manages to silence the shot like no other silencing effort I've seen / heard. They do this without dropping power at all. Unless you live in a remote area, loud shooting just isnt that fun (for me). Perhaps the folks who appreciate throttling a harley up the ave will disagree but for me, the feeling that every trigger pull comes with a dozen "jeezus what the fu@3 was that ?!@#" from 360 of neighbors is so distracting that it actually becomes the center of attention whilst shooting. okay fair enough when I'm shooting my 50 bmg at commercial planes passing by but not once I've awoken from dreamland and am shooting a pellet gun at paper terrorist downrange. dont hesitate, you will enjoy many a summer eve punching holes in your neighbors martini olive without him hearing a thing. if you do hear a thing, it will likely be a loud screeching cry and best to have a stash spot and a perfected, "what the heck was that" concerned neighbor posture.
ProsQUIETER than any other silenced air rifle I have shot. compact without losing the ability to shoot it like a rifle instead of a carbine. Quiet. well balanced. Quiet. lethal. Quiet. Also - it is not loud, its almost.....quiet ?! last but not least, unlike being really loud thin...I'll shut up !
Conswith a scope atop, it feels like a pretty large, unLight peice of metal. Size matters in Turkey !

Hatason Gladius
I received my Gladius in .25 it shoots really good .... dime size at 50 yards ....hole in a hole when I do my part ...action very smooth ... good trigger ... Iiked every thing about it ! ... this one is a keeper ! ..I have 14 years experience with pcp guns ... and a decent collection of them ...and this one is right at the top ! it shoots 870-880 range for 16 shots on 6 power ....using JSB 25.39 kings .... right out of the box ... I did not clean the barrel ...or power tune this gun ... fit and finish are very good ... stock is a lot better than I expected very nice ! for synthetic .... this gun is very adjustable ... stock ... power settings ...hammer spring is adjustable with out taking off the stock .... the gun is also very quiet ! .... this might just be the best bang for the buck in pcp air-guns right now ....
Prosvery well balanced ....smooth action ...very accurate ...very adjustable

Great Hunter!!
Pre-ordered this rifle and it came about a week ago. I had everything ready and waiting for it. Zeroed at 40 yards, 5 shots, same hole. This thing is a pesting machine. Tried power settings 3 to 6. Power settings 1 and 2 are too weak to use. On setting four you can take a Red Squirrel out to 50 yards all day long. The higher power settings really are for more range. This thing is heavy. Running about 12 pounds with my optics and no bi-pod. Extra mags in the stock are awesome. No more carrying them in your pockets or carrying loose pellets. Seemed to be easier to pump up with a hand pump as well, my AT44 QE is a nightmare to use a hand pump on. Overall this is an excellent alternative to the more expensive bullpups on the market.
ProsPower! Plenty of it. Power settings 4 - 6 are more than enough to hunt. Short. Adaptability is great.
ConsHeavy.
