This is a really fun rifle to shoot in the backyard. Plenty of power to put holes through plywood and pests. I haven't put on a 4x scope to test it's accuracy at farther distances than 30 yard, but I'm guessing it would still be pretty solid at 50ish yards.

Pros
I love the weight and feel of this rifle. 30 round mag is great if you use the right .22 pellets Optics are easily installed on the rail system Very accurate out to 30+ yards Tank capacity is decent

Cons
Trigger pull is a little sloppy. Too much travel Fairly loud without some sort of suppression Stock iron sites are decent but not spectacular. Definitely throw a red dot or other optic on it.

If your looking for a new gun? Like I tell all my buddy in the long run buying an air rifle yes they might cost a lot but in the long run the cost will save you because pellets and slugs are way cheaper then ammunition.

Pros
Finely was able to really try the sig .22cal out last weekend on some ground squirrels and was really impressed on how well it handled in 45 mph wind we had and was able to take down some ground squirrels.

Pros
Its an awesome air gun and I use the cheapest air pump and it doesnt take long to fill the tank up and with the clip to load the pellet it takes seconds to load and not minutes

Great rifle for play. Can be made to shoot straight but takes time.

Pros
Great value and a fun gun. Easy to add pic rails for accessories. Some things were a little loose from transit but I always check for that when I pull a new gun from the box. 1/2 thread on barrel would allow silencer if you wanted one. Plenty of firepower in .22. Will bury a pellet deep into HD plywood from 75 feet.

Cons
Gun didn't shoot straight out of the box. Took some fidgeting to get it shooting in the small hole.

Get an additional magazine from Sig for this thing. The added mag will come with 3 belts so you can have different pellets at the ready. Swapping a belt in a mag is about 10 seconds. Loading a belt though takes several minutes at a table.

Pros
This has become my favorite gun for plinking. I also have a 177 MCX to compare it with. The 22 is the right size and power for putting holes through both walls of tin cans and drilling through plywood with repeating rounds. She is a bit on the loud side for the urban backyard, but she gets really loud when she dry fires. I bet the dry fire report would make a grown man run like a scared cat without even firing a round. An unmagnified red dot seems about right for the accuracy and effective range of this gun. My buddy ordered one of these immediately after he tried mine. Though this gun has been perfect, when I had an air leak on my 177 Sig answered the phone and replaced it without question.

Cons
The belt system is particular on pellet sizes. I found that JSBs would fall out if you bump the belt, whether in or out of the magazine. Gamo pellets seem to be ideal snug fits in the belt.

Pros
Great gun. Have been using it for 2 weeks now and impressed so far. Ordered a couple mods for it and do some upgrades to try and make it a home defense gun.

Cons
Nothing so far.

Amazing price! Amazing quality! Amazing consistency in accuracy!

Pros
I have had my new favorite SIG Sauer MCX Virtus for about 6 months now. I consistently take off the smallest of branches on random trees behind my house ranging from 20 to 60 yards away, NO PROBLEM! Small rodents don't have a chance in my garden. My favorite is taking out all the rotting cherry tomatoes straight off the vine! I absolutely love this gun!

Cons
Hand pumping the tank really sux...but I am old so...there's that. Still only takes about 10 mins tho.

Super fun plinker, and very accurate with a scope! Even my 8 year old daughter was taking cans out! I would highly recommend purchasing an extra few magazines for this awesome replica!

Pros
Feels like the real MCX Virtus in weight and size, and shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger. The magazine design is very cool - being able to load up 30 shots into a replica magazine! No miss fires or issues.

Cons
It would be nice to have more than a single mount to allow me to add a sling to this, as the one mount they do have is the only mount. There is also a fake mount on this replica which 'replicates' an actual mount on the real MCX Virtus. That makes no sense to me at all.

The trigger on this rifle is a bit sloppy. Is there a way to adjust it so it doesn't have so much travel before it engages?

asked christian from USA

What include?

asked Pascual from USA

I got the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus not realizing i needed to pump up its tank. Where can I get the correct high pressure hand pump for it?

asked Ty from USA

is this metal housing or plastic?

asked JASON from USA

I can't find a swivel switch to fit the qd adapter. Sig Sauer website is sold out . Any help ?

asked David from USA

Do you have to manually reset the trigger after firing?

asked George from USA

can you adjust the regulator setting?

asked Roy from USA

What kind a hand pump will work with this gun?

asked Cadyn from USA

Can you please let me know the ideal hand pump or compressor to fill the air tank on my new .22 Sig SauerMCX virtus ? Thank you

asked Sean from USA

https://www.airgundepot.com/air-venturi-g9-hand-pump.html The link above is for an excellent hand pump that will fill your rifle. Personally, I would highly recommend an "HPA" (High Pressure Air 4500psi) electric air pump over a hand pump. They ain't cheap. But time is $. And doing it with a hand pump not only takes time, but it's a workout in itself. If you are a smoker, forget about it and go electric. Regardless, if you're over 40 yo, be a good idea to get a physical before doing it by hand. lol

~MF from USA

Is this set up to use regular pellets? Can i use slugs. Or do I have to purchase a kit? for the sig. to shoot slugs like the FX?

asked Thomas from USA

Thomas, this rifle is set up to use regular .22 cal pellets. Most will work, with the exception of a few. Notably, the Gamo "Red Fire" pellets, which will NOT work without cutting off the tips. Which I wouldn't recommend doing. Kind of defeats the point of the pellet. I've successfully shot Crosman "Pointed", "Destroyer", and "Premier Ultra Magnum" pellets through this rifle. I prefer the Destroyer. I've also shot the Gamo "Rocket", as well. My preferred pellet is the H&N "Hornet", which WILL work in this rifle without any modification to the pellets. If you use them, just make sure each and every pellet tip (these are copper pointed), is 100% flush, and totally inside it's carrier in the magazine belt. If not, the rifle WILL jam. It's not rocket surgery...but take the the time to make them all perfect. In regard to slugs, I've attempted to load the FX .22 cal slugs in the carrier belt and they will NOT work. They are actually slightly too big in diameter for the carriers.

~MF from USA

Spare magazines I'll buy 10 if you produce them

asked Thomas from USA

Of course Sig does, $25 gets you a mag and (3) 30 round belts.

Tim from USA

They will be coming soon.

Cadyn from USA

Could I attach a 100 CU 4500 psi carbon fiber tank directly to the receiver to replace the little one that is already on it I clearly understand the weight and difference yeah yeah I want to know if the receiver is going to blow up in my face as soon as I screw the bottle in I kind of already have my mind made up but I'm not going to purchase this with that tiny tank I'm just saying and do you sell aftermarket clips for this thing I want as many mags as I can get my hands on ?

asked Thomas from USA

Do you need to degas this Sig before removing the tank and if so, how? I prefer to store it with the tank removed (but full).

asked Donald from USA

No. You can remove the tank without degassing. A little air may escape as the tank is removed.

Daniel from USA

What is the best ammo for this rifle?

asked Troy from USA

Troy, imho the H&N "Hornet" is the best pellet. See my long answer to a similar question, above...

~MF from USA

How do you filll that air tank up. Can you use my air compressor from my shop or do I have to go somewhere or buy a new one or what

asked Aaron from USA

Can't use regular compressor must be High pressure I love my nomad 2 by Air Venturi but something similar would be fine heard good things about the Umarex compressor but I dont know from personal experience an HPA handpump will work also and it comes with a free gym membership.

Joseph from USA

Is there a barrel exchange kit for this gun. I'd like to see the barrel at half the length.

asked Jason from USA

None that I know of.... Just make sure the barrel that's on the rifle now is fully tightened (screwed in), where it meets the upper receiver. Many aren't fully snug straight from the factory. Tsk tsk Sig. Mine was all over the place in regard to accuracy when I got it. I almost returned it, but went to YouTube first before doing so to try to gain some insight. Good move, as a guy on there addresses this issue directly. It works great now. But in regard to a shorter barrel....again, there are none available that I know of.

~MF from USA

do you need a foid car to bye this in Illinois

asked Dani from USA

no

Val from USA

Can I use a bike pump to pump the tank? And how many pumps. Thank you

asked Mark from USA

No. Can't reach high enough pressure to fill it.

Stephen from USA

Would this item be able to take down snakes?

asked Daniel from USA

Depends on your aim, and the snake. I wouldn't recommend this for use on a Black Mamba : )

~MF from USA

Easily. I'd say your good up to medium RODENTS.

Salvatore from USA

I have shop air at 150 psi can I refill my own cylinder?

asked Michael from USA

Nope

Brian from USA

No it requires 3000psi

Donavan from USA

Can you fill this guns tank with a Regular aircompresser

asked Phillip from USA

Nope need a 3000-4500 psi compressor

Brian from USA

No it requires 3000psi not your standard 120-150psi

Donavan from USA

Spare Mags available?

asked Jon from USA

Yes

Donald from USA

Is the tank co2 or air?

asked Paul from USA

Air

Brian from USA

Air its the same as a scuba tank

Donavan from USA

If I want to avoid the appearance of intent, can I have a moderator adapter welded to the barrel of this rifle, so that it couldn't be used on a firearm, or would welding the adapter on ruin/warp the barrel?

asked Lane from USA

Can you fill the bottles with a regular air compressor

asked Jerry from Canada

No,it needs to be filled with a special compressor, hand pump or air tank. Regular air compressors do not have to high capacity PSI.

Steven from USA

Can you recommend a good hand pump for this rifle?

asked Michael from USA

Hill

Donald from USA

Can you leave the tank attached to the gun to fill it? Or should you remove the tank then fill?

asked Justin from USA

The tank can be left on the gun to fill.

Todd from USA

You may leave the tank attached to the rifle while filling it.

Robert from USA

Yes, you can leave it attaced.

Tim from USA

Can you prefill bottles, and swap them in the gun?

asked Sean from USA

Yes.

Robert from USA

Mine stopped working! Any idea who I have to contact?

asked Mark from USA

If it is in the first 60 days of the purchase air gun Depot will work with you. After the 60 days you go directly to Sign.

Steven from USA

Dose Sig have a hand pump that goes with this tank, or do you sell a hand pump you would recommend to go with this airgun?

asked Richard from USA

Sig is currently designing their own hand pump that should be released by the end of 2020. That being said there are many different hand pumps from many different manufacturers that would work with this rifle. Just be sure it has a 1/8th quick disconnect.

Robert from USA

Any of the hand pumps will fit the Sig Virtus.

Mark from USA

Where do I purchase the moderator Also do you know what's Scope fits

asked Martin from USA

In the aftermarket silencer /moderator Donny fl is a awesome company and a great product. Check them out!

Todd from USA

Donnyfl for moderator but you will need a custom made adapter to fit the 1/2 x 20 of the mod to the 1/2 x 28 threads of the barrel. Check there web site. I should mention not to have the adapter ANYWHERE near an actual firearm with 28 tpi threaded barrel. A jury will see this as INTENT to use on firearm.

Tim from USA

Any scope with a weaver base will fit, A noderator is an aftermarket item.

Mark from USA

Will this kill a rabbit/mouse/squirrel? It says small game hunting but I would like to verify. Also, can I put a can on the end to decrease noise? Or is the noise not from muzzle?

asked wade from USA

At 10-35 feet It should be lethal. It is not a high powered airgun. The barrel is threaded.

Mark from USA

Where is it made?

asked Robert from USA

Mine says japan

Tim from USA

mine says made in japan

Salvatore from USA

China

Mark from USA

Can you ship out to other country ?

asked Danh from Vietnam

That depends on the import laws of the destination country. We do not know all of the rules. That is the customer's responsibility.

Mark from USA

Could this be run from an external tank and a connecting hose?

asked Kim from USA

Yes.

Mark from USA

Is the barrel threaded? If so, what thread pitch?

asked Mikayla from USA

1/2 x 28

Tim from USA

moderator that fits on my hatsan fits on virtus.

Salvatore from USA

The barrel end is threaded. We don't know and do not have any to check. Contact Sig Sauer for that info.

Mark from USA

Can you purchase extra magazines for the gun?

asked Luke from USA

ebay has extra magazine with 3 belts( 30 rounds) and 500 pellets for 60.00

Salvatore from USA

At this time we do not have any extra magazines. You can contact Sig Sauer. They may have some. 603-610-3000

Mark from USA

Is there a hand pump I can order with it? I have read Sig will be coming out with one soon, but on this site is there one?

asked Bryan from USA

Any hand pump will fill the Victus.

Mark from USA

Are there any slugs you would recommend for this one (I hope I don't start to sound like a broken record, as I will probably ask that about a few other guns in the next few days).

asked John from USA

it is a .22 cal. sig sauer venom 14.5 grain pellets come with the extra mag kit. sold separately.

Salvatore from USA

Any slug will be way too heavy for the Virtus. You want to shoot a pellet of between 7-10 gr. Waddcutter or hollow points.

Mark from USA

Air tank included?

asked Ronan from USA

Yes

Mark from USA

Good morning, have you had any problems with the magazine loading ammo into the chamber. Thank you for your time.

asked Rafael from USA

Mags work perfectly as long as the tip of the pellet doesn't stick out of the end of the belt after you seat the pellet with the included pellet seater. Those Gamo rocket red tipped pellets and similar ones will give you issues. Once I stopped using those I rarely had a jam and when I did it was because occasionally a pellet would be slightly smaller for some reason and it would poke out the end when it came time for that pellet to be fired. I've had great success with the hybrid fx .22 slugs they fit snug and hit hard and are a blast when shooting the air venturi exploding golf balls just make sure you have a secure backstop no matter what ammo you choose.

Joseph from USA

mags work great

Salvatore from USA

Yes. There have been magazine issues with the Virtus. Contact Sig Sauer.

Mark from USA

what else do i need to get started ? i do have a compressor ... can i refill the tank with my compressor ?

asked Lawrence from USA

Hello, can someone please tell me if the barrel is threaded and if so what is the size? Thank you for your time
