I got some trouble on first time filling the air. It seems like it is leaking air from barrel when I am filling air. I see there is other people reported the same issue. After I did research, I found it is NOT an issue at all. At the very first time, the air pressure is 0 so the charger won't be able to hold on the air. At the moment, you need to pull the charger to rear position (cocked). At this position, you can fill in the air to the designed pressure level. (at least fill in the air to the green zone). After the air was filled, the gun start functioning without leaking. Also before you fill in the air, you can easy to turn the air tank. Seems like the air tank is very loosing. But after filled with right pressure, the air tank become firmed.

Pros
Great air gun. Feel very solid. I like it has 4500PSI which very little other air gun has this high pressure.

Cons
The company might need to add a special notification paper in the box to have better instruction on how to filling air at the very first time. I got some trouble on first time filling the air and thought the air is leaking from barrel. After I did some research, I found it is not an issue. I just found out what is the proper way to fill the air at the first time. If the gun come with this instruction on this, that will help a lot.

Pros
Super accurate right out of the box, I spent the extra $20 and bought a case for $69 with a scope they cited it in and test wired it with proof of velocity, the gun achieves a thousand foot a second and is super accurate. It's a little louder than I was hoping but I'll probably equip it with a moderator

Cons
I can't really think of any other than it'd be nice if it had a barrel band stabilizer

First time big bore air gun owner and like it can shoot with out breaking the Bank will look @ getting 22 or 177 for Grand kids Get Electric Pump , family all ready had one for Paint ball guns

Pros
Paid the extra $20.00 to have it set up scope mounted & shot put through gun Yes and $65 for hard case, @ 66 years old don't want screw around setting up a gun,

Cons
weight little on heavy side the clip is a little hard to load @ first the scope that come with the package is ok for younger shoters would like a option of a better scope to be offered as up grade

These guns leak. Two in a row out of the box. First one didn't fill to recommended pressure without hissing out of the tank. Second one held a charge, but only for a few hours--down to zero overnight. Followed all charging protocols; checked all connections, fill port and O-rings; re-attached the tank. Assuming I wasn't only one in country experiencing this, a quick perusal of the internet and video reviews reveals numerous reports of leaking Gauntlet models. This is either d design flaw or a production failure that Umarex needs to address--or stop selling the gun.

Pros
None that overcome the leaking.

If you come out with new models, think of me.

Pros
This thing is great. If I had the money I would buy all the calibers. I mostly use this for my squirrel problems and whipe them out at 100 yards no problem. Get a decent optic and you are set!!

Cons
The cons, cut some weight, and leave a tag saying to check the air tank and make sure it's tight. Aired it up all the way with a hand pump at first and it all leaked out over night. Didn't know to check the tank tightness. So bought an electric pump.

What is the best matched electric pump for this gun and how long does it take to fill

asked Richard from USA

Air Venturi RovAir. Depending on whether you are filling from empty, no more than 12 minutes or so, I would say

Val from USA

What is the FPS of the 30 cal with a 60 grain and a 80 grain pellet

asked Richard from USA

Mine is @ 985 with chronograph

Randy from USA

does this rifle in 30 cal have enough power to kill deer and coyotes reliably within 100 yards?

asked alex from USA

Absolutely will drop dear. Mines @ 980 fps with chronograph.

Randy from USA

for deer you need at least 150fpe, you only be able to get that on .35 to .62 cal but coyotes are no problem

Joshio from USA

Deer no coyotes sure q head shot will put them down quick just make sure it's sighted in before no need for suffering

Dean from USA

Key word is reliably and the answer would be no. A lucky shot maybe

Keith from USA

Is the side lever reversible (ambidextrous)?

asked W Marcus from USA

No.

Adam from USA

Does this have a threaded barrel?

asked Saul from USA

.30 cal features 1/2"x20 threads for a moderator

Adam from USA

Which hand pumps are compatible? Any fittings needed for hand pump?

asked Kevin from USA

Don't recommend hand pump, too tedious, especially for us older folks. I got one and then quickly got an electrical one

Keith from USA

Any handpump that has a female foster. https://www.airgundepot.com/hill-pump-kit-mk5.html?sid=322 The hill is the easiest to use.
