Umarex SurgeMax Elite Combo

  • Code: AGD-534410805 · .177 · 1050 fps
Out of Stock

With this Umarex SurgeMax Elite Combo, you get the feature set you need for plinking, small-game hunting, or pest control right out of the box. It gives you speeds up to 1050 fps in .177 and 900 fps in .22, plus plenty of precision and muscle.

The powerplant of this air rifle is a Turbo Nitrogen Technology gas piston, meaning you get smooth and steady cocking, consistent performance across different temperatures, greater longevity, lower recoil and vibration, and the capability of leaving it cocked for longer periods because of the lack of a spring. It also has a 2 stage adjustable trigger, so you get the break you want, and it includes a 5 chamber sound suppression system that gives you shots that make less noise than competing air rifles.

This air rifle features a Nucleus Integrated Rail Platform, which has been engineered in order to minimize both the movement and vibration transferred to the scope, and the sound created by the action. The extended Picatinny rail can be used for the Umarex 4x32 AO scope included in the package, and the gun also has a micro adjustable fiber optic rear sight and a fixed fiber optic front sight.

The ambidextrous synthetic thumbhole stock gives you a clean look and tactical styling, plus a textured rubber buttpad and textured grip for a comfortable and stable hold, and there's a sling loop at the rear as well. If you're ready for a package including a scope and rings that sets you up for pest control, plinking, or small game hunting and won't break the bank, get the Umarex SurgeMax Elite Combo at Airgun Depot now.

The rifle cocks easily and has reasonable power. It is also reasonably accurate and mine will hold a quarter sized shot group at 25-30 yards. The rifle tends to be a little barrel heavy but once I got used to shooting it it was not all that noticeable. All in all, it is proving out to be not too bad for this price range. I am a small game hunter and I harvested quite a few gray squirrels with it last winter. This is not a High End rifle so don't expect it to be one. It will never be a Weihrauch but it makes for a reasonably good all weather 30 yard hunter. On the plus side, with this one, you won't have to worry damaging the stock or getting it wet.

Pros
I took these 25 Shots at 50 yards Last December 27 2022 with my 22cal SurgeMax Elite The daytime temps were slightly above zero here in MN. The target was out in the snow in front of a big Oak Tree. The distance to the Oak Tree and target was around 50 yards. (Paced) I was shooting 22 cal. Crosman 14.3 gr. Hollow Point pellets. There was a slight southerly breeze at 12 mph with gusts up to 22 mph. I was facing West and the wind was coming from the left side of the target. The time was 3 pm, CST. 920 FT elevation. Toward the end of the shooting session I was having trouble with the proper trigger pull as my hands were getting cold. The rifle out of the box has around a 4.75 lb trigger pull. I sprayed the trigger assembly with a moly based bicycle chain lube and that did wonders for the trigger pull. I had won this rifle last April 2022 in a Umarex raffle. The rife was still breaking in when I shot this group.

Cons
The usual bundled scope thing. It would be nice Umarex offered a no scope version at a slightly lower price. The trigger was a little stiff to start out with but the moly spray took care of that.

Pros
Lightweight, strong, quiet, kicks though without the shock vibration that youd get with a springer. Hits right on at 35 40 yards. With 1mil drop at 60yards. Box says 800fps with lead pellets. Hits hard. Iron sight work well and

Cons
The scope is nice and light though i do not like duples crosshairs, also it is Not Adjustable Objective as stated. I put a Nikko Sterling AO 4x32mm with half mildot reticle. Makes longer shot alot easier.
