Beautiful airgun but nothing except problems. First gun leaked and had to send back. Got a newer version but with each cocking of the side lever to advance the rotary magazine, it often skips 1-3 positions, leaving unfired pellets here and there. You never know if you are shooting with an empty barrel or not. Sending the second one back and never wasting time on an Ataman product again!!!

When I first looked at the box, I thought this was some kind of joke. It doesn't have a case or anything; just a small cardboard box with this gun in it packed with foam. It also comes with no accessories accept two fill adapters and one magazine for $945. It get's worse. When I buy a REAL gun costing about as much as this airgun, the REAL gun is always flawless. This Russian made airgun looks as if it was made by some amateur in a village somewhere. The first obvious flaw in my airgun was the corrosion caused pitting on the side lever. The second obvious issue was that the air cylinder was assembled upside down and the air fill access port is sideways so that you can only access it from one side while the other side is under the barrel. Now according to the website, this AP16 is supposed to get 15 shots per fill. I used JSB 18.13gr pellets and shot 11 rounds from 300bar before the pressure became so low that the cylinder automatically dumped the remaining air at around 70bar. Finally, the sights are off and this gun shoots low to the left but I'll admit that it was dead on accurate and every shot pretty much hit dead on low to the left from 10 meters.

    Pros
    Very accurate

    Cons
Pitting on side lever Air cylinder assembled upside down Sights are not aligned correctly Doesn't shoot 15 rounds as advertised Wood grips are horribly finished A gun with this quality may be worth $200-$250 max not $945.

I spent considerable time researching pellet pistols prior to investing in this one. And when I received it I wasn't disappointed in my investment. I bought the compact model and after adding a red dot the weight is perfect and the pistol feels very comfortable in my hand. This pistol is very well made and can not only be used for target shooting, but can be an effective hunting pistol as well. Maybe a little loud, but it exhibits a very accurate shot. I would highly recommend this pistol for anyone who is looking for a quality investment.

    Pros
Very well made, up to 300 BAR (4,350 psi) pressure capacity, can be used for target shooting or hunting, very accurate. The barrel and pressure cylinder can be easily exchanged to transform the compact model into the standard model.

    Cons
    Maybe a little loud.

can this be filled with a hill pump and can the power be increased

    asked kevin

It can be filled with a Hill pump, but not sure why you would increase the power as it only gets through 2 seven pellet magazines.

    Roy from USA

Is it just me or does having the air gauge at the front (thus pointing the barrel at you to check) seem like a major safety fail?

    asked Chris..

Does the AP16 have open sights?

    asked E. Davis Sr.

    Yes it does.

    Roy from USA

Will the JSB 18.13 gr Jumbo Heavy Diablolo Exact .22 pellets fit the the AP16 cylinder/magazine. Also will the standard length air tube fit work on the AP 16 frame?

    asked Shawn from USA

Yes, they fit fine. I have used those as well as the JSB Hades with zero problems.
