While this gun performed, I can say it did perform as advertised. The NP2 was indeed more powerful, more accurate, had a better trigger, smoother cocking effort, etc, than the NP1. I used Crosman Ultra Mags and it was on at 25 yards and beyond. It was also effective at taking small game. Unfortunately, just as I exceeded the warranty period, which at the time was only 1 year, a problem started to occur with cocking the gun. It would pretty much jam up. Crosman recommended a repair center, but given the shipping cost plus the cost of parts and labor it would not have been worth it.

Excellent and accurate Air Rifle. Scope that came with the Rifle is not reliable but once replaced with a better quality scope this Rifle is a consistent and extremely accurate shooter using H&N Sport Baracuda 10.65 gr pellets shooting under one inch groups at 30 yards. Rifle has the power to easily take down small game with accurate shots. I love my Benjamin Golden Eagle Air Rifle!

Pros
Speed/fps, Accuracy, Quiet operation

Cons
Unreliable Scope sold with this Air Rifle.

First off this is not a quiet pellet rifle. It sounds like a firecracker when you shoot the pellet. So urban dispatch of critters my get the neighbors a little mad, but if you live on a farm you are good. Shoots nice kinda front heavy and the scope is fine. Will kill a squirrel but anything larger you will need two shots or a lucky shot to the heart. This is a single shot rifle and takes at least 3 minutes to load per shot. Not bad but not great either.

Pros
Color

Cons
Sound Heavy Very long

I like the Gun, and everything about it, pick one up from Airgun depot, out of the bow noticed , a slight cruve to the right, thought to my self, Thats Weird, when i went to shot it, it was shooting so sideways, i couldnt even get the scope to come close to the pellet impact at 25yd. im not useing the scope it came with, im useing a New tag retical center point. Took the shroud off the barrel , to see if its just the shroud over the whole barrel , and put a level on it, sure enough, about a 1\16 of an inch curve to the right. Top and bottom of barrel was straight, but on the left side of the barrel , the level touches center and teeters top and bottom about 1\16th of an inch. And on the right side of the barrel the level touches top and bottom of barrel with a gap in the middel, cause of bow\curve in the barrel, so yes it is bent and shooting sideways, everything else is great , i just want this exchange for a nice golden eagle with a straight barrel. Its loud at first, after 10 shots it get quieter , cocks easy, the monte carlo body\stock is nice. ill have 5 stars if i get one with a straight barrle that will allow my scope adjustment , to reach the pellet impact point at 25yd

Cons
beside crooked barrel and wanting replacement, NONE

Bought this to deal with red squirrels. Works well. Didn't care for scope that came with it so upgraded that. After break in period, gun shoots very well. I have tried different pellets but have had best luck with crossman hollow points.

Pros
Accurate after break in,seems well built.

Cons
Cheap scope but definitely not a deal breaker.

Light weight NP2 with accurate hard hitting capabilities. Out of the box after a few shots, mounted a 3-12x50, 30mm tube scope with a dovetail to weaver adapter. Sighted in about 10 shots and performs as expected. Actually, quite pleased with accuracy and ease of handling. This rifle is worthy of trying. Excellent for pest control and other uses. Nice price and good value for dollar with free shipping and coupon. AD delivered quickly and double packaged.

Pros
Light weight, Nitro Piston 2, hard hitting, accurate, relatively quite for a new rifle, trigger fine with adjustments, cocking effort strong but manageable, nice feel & handling, adapted well to scope upgrade 3-12x50 and rings, settled in well with Predator Polymag 8gr Pellet.

Cons
No complaints at this time.

Rifle is okay accurate when you put a decent scope on it. The scope(made in china) that came with it ,I ended up tossing in trash can. Still, with a 3x9 Simpson scope that I put on personally groups 2 to 3 inches at 15 yards.

Pros
Has lots of speed, nice looking gun

Cons
Scope that comes with it is no good. Even after putting a quality scope on, still doesn't shoot as accurate as a .22 centerfire.

someone mentioned 2-3 inch groups at 15 yards? to me thats terrible accuracy. if that is typical then i will buy a daisy 880 and be far ahead money -wise. i was really considering this rifle, can anyone else attest to the accuracy of it? i mainly shoot english sparrows from 10 to 50 yards.
