The Benjamin Trail Nitro Piston 2 (NP2) quickly became one of the most popular breakbarrel air rifles on the market, when it was released in 2014. With the updated Nitro Piston 2, Crosman was able to get 30% more air into the piston through a patented split piston design that includes Tail Guides and a Recoil Assist, which equates to more energy with less recoil. There was also a ten pound weight reduction in the cocking force. Features also include the new Clean Break Trigger (CBT) and a baffling system made from a single piece of nylon fiber.

After three years of success with the NP2, Crosman has raised the bar again by introducing the Trail NP2 SBD (Silencing Barrel Device). Crosman engineered the SBD to improve the barrel shrouding, which resulted in the NP2 SBD being three times quieter than other breakbarrels its class. With the shroud's asymmetrical design, the included CenterPoint 3-9x32 scope's field of view won't be hindered at all. And there's no need to worry about the cold weather as the Trail NP2 SBD will operate at full capacity regardless of the time of year!

Assembled at Crosman's manufacturing headquarters in Bloomfield, New York, the Trail NP2 SBD is currently one of the most technologically advanced air rifles available for hunting, target shooting, pest control, or just plain fun and it's backed by American workers!

Gun Freek 🤪
I have several air rifles and a couple of pistols, I have found the heavyweight pellets keep a tighter pattern! Like any other weapon you have to find the right weight for the gun and Must keep the barrel clean !
ConsThe scope was crap had to replace it the optics moved

Dissapointed
I like the scope and hardware, scope was not bad. Initially sighting in was OK, but the more I shot it the worse it got. Bought several different pellet brands and weights, Accuracy would come and go. The Crossman premiere pellets would fly all over the place, I could not do better than a 12" grouping. Finally gave up and returned it for a Beeman, which is a Chinese made dual caliber, stock is a little bulky for my taste but it holds a target and I can get groups, even with the offending Crossman pellets. Plenty of power for some ground hogs. I really wanted to buy American and NOT Chinese. but there you have it. Airgun Warehouse took care of me. The silencer feature was not worth having.

ConsYou won't hit anything,

Powerful accurate
Great price accurate durable. Great looking. A sling would have been a nice add on. It is a tad heavy but I personally like it I definitely like the adjustable trigger pull American depot is always on point with the prices delivery time I have found my go to shop
ProsGreat field accurate powerful affordable
ConsPlease I would love to see better scopes. And metlal Trigger wouldn’t be a nice touch also Benjamin needs to come out with a 10 round clip for the break barrel
Best UsesTarget shooting and certainly has the takedown power for squirrels and mice are usually rats and small varmint

Great rifle and very quiet
I had a fun time shooting this rifle both indoors and outdoor with my setup range. It was able to shoot small targets and army men at 30 yards so I say it's accurate and able to hit dimensized grouping with the proper pellet
Proscan shoot Indoors or outside No complaints from neighbors, can only hear whoosh sound Shroud and baffles does a good job quieting it down Accurate
Consnone, this rifle is fun to shoot and is accurate for me

Good buy
Very pleased with this gun. You definitely want .22 for hunting squirrels and rabbits, the .177 is only for birds and target shooting. Gun is relatively quiet and I really like the full grip handle as opposed to a thumb hole in the stock.
ProsVery consistent grouping
ConsIt's kinda heavy, but what can ya do
