Many airgunners think a multi-pump pneumatic is the ideal powerplant since the effort to power the gun is user dependent. Wherever your strength level lies that's good enough for the gun. Use from 3 to 10 pumps. This pistol comes with a blade front sight and a fully adjustable rear and the rear can be quickly switched from a notch to a peep by loosening a screw. Optics can be mounted too if you buy the optional 459MT intermount. Add 3/8-inch dovetails on your pistol by upgrading to the steel breech. Although that upgrade removes your rear sight, there's a kit version that includes the LPA rear sight that fits on the steel breech dovetails. Use 1377 American Classic air gun for plinking, paper targets, spinners and tin cans. New grip and pump-lever configuration, same great pistol!

Having a wooden presentation box and holster available for this make/model.

Pros
I'm impressed with this make/model.

Cons
I would not change anything.

Great overall target practice gun. I would not hunt with it. It took 5 point blank headshots to kill a rat. So this is more of a paper killer than a pest control tool. I have the P-ROD and the grip angles are almost identical.

Pros
Compact, well built. I’ve owed this pistol for a decade and it still works like it did when new.

Cons
Better pump return holding. The pump falls out of its catch too easily.

Pros
Nice when you just want to take a few shots. Definitely a plinker unless you want to spend a wallet load of money on turning it into much more .the trigger is very bad plan to spend some time making it smoother ,the rear sight is nothing special

Cons
Make a deluxe model with the steel breach and quality sights as standard equipment.

I bought this gun because I wanted something to shoot indoors during bad weather. I shoot for accuracy so I use a bench and rest taking as much of myself as posable out of the shot. At 15 feet I found this gun to be very consistent. I can't say accurate because I'm not an expert but I liked my results at 15 feet. After adjusting and learning the sights I was cutting out a nickel sized bullseye.

Pros
Shoots well, I liked it.

Cons
The trigger is heavy for me. The rear sight adjustments are crued but work well if you take the time to learn them.

the rifling in my P1377 is really ragged. Looks like the cutter was run thru once with
too deep a cut.
I would recommend this one only if the bore is checked.

Very well working handgun. After sights adjusted, its pretty damn accurate. It isnt designed for BBs, they just roll out of the chamber, but thats easily fixed by using a strong magnet and rubbing the loading tip good untill it slightly magnetizes. Ordering online is cheaper than in stores.

Pros
-Multi pump. Easier to create pressure. -accurate -Feels solid

Cons
- wasnt made for BBs, but easily worked around.

Get the stock with it. I have a 25 yard range laid out in yard, this pistol, once sighted in using peep sight, does not miss. I do. Shooting it is addictive. 5 star rating because it is what it is.

Pros
A basic, no frills pistol. Extremely accurate at 25 yards with "peep" sight, I drilled it out a few sizes. I pump it up to 8 or 10 pumps occasionally, but 5 pumps is all that is needed for cans.

Cons
Could use a better system for keeping rear sight open/peep tang tight. The small screw on mine was stripped, used duct tape to hold it on til I found a little bigger screw and threaded it thru the plastic base.

Any place to get a new front sight? mine has worn down/cracked/chipped over the last 6 years.

WHAT SCOPE DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR THE CROSSMAN? I AM ENGAGED IN A MAJOR RABBIT WAR. SO I DON’T NEED A SUPERSCOPE. I WONDER ABOUT THAT RED DOT THAT IS AVAILABLE IN THE STORES. THEY LOOK VERY CHEAP. THANK YOU FOR ANY INFORMATION.

asked DAVID

How many pellets does it hold?

asked Ray

From Specs on landing page: Fire Mode = Single Shot
