Features include a precision internal regulator (to insure complete consistency between shots regardless of how much air you do or don't have left), a brand new 8 round rotary magazine system for FX that is simple to load and clicks into place in the loading breech with two spring loaded ball bearings, a special finger print resistant finish on the aluminum air cylinder as well as the rest of the metal parts of the gun, and a cocking lever that was engineered to be the smoothest operating lever possible, all placed forward right above the trigger.
We can't say enough how this placement combined with the buttery smooth cocking lends itself to hours of joyful shooting. Follow-up shots are easy and without the need of breaking your line of sight. it's just one masterful execution of design after another with the new FX Wildcat MKII.
The FX Wildcat MKII Walnut features handpicked walnut that is both incredibly durable as well as a pleasure to look at and hold. This walnut stock is comfortable to shoot both right and left handed. The stock is fast pointing and perfectly balanced. The gun is light to begin with but feels even lighter due to excellent weight distribution. You'll notice the difference in barrel length and air cylinder size depending on the caliber of airgun. The longer barrel in the .25 caliber allows for more power and speed (pushing 47 ft/lbs with the right pellet selection), while the .22 caliber is pushing out a respectable 30 ft/lbs of energy.
The barrel of course is where the accuracy comes from as like all modern FX guns, it features the FX Smooth Twist Liner. A barrel that is years ahead of its time in innovation, essentially re-writing how spin and velocity can be obtained for an airgun. The barrel is fully shrouded and moderated to reduce the sound (though additional moderator sections can be added to reduce the report even more).
Simply stated, the FX Wildcat MKII Walnut is a gun that must be experienced to fully understand. it's straight forward enough that you don't need to worry about having to tinker to get the best out of it, priced well below the features and quality you will receive, but yet will deliver results that can only help to make you a better marksman. And a gun that can last for years to come and be handed down through generations.

The fx impact but I like the wildcat for hunting. Mine is 25 cal.
I'm using the fill probe that came with the air rifle and have attached the Air Venturi Male Quick-Disconnect, 1/8" BSPP Female Threads (with Delrin seal inside) to it. The aluminum air cylinder has two openings and I'm using the one that is underneath the cylinder as the fill probe slides in quite easily.
Is the fill probe pushed in all the way? Pushing the fill probe in all the way seems to have an air leak when running the compressor. Is the fill probe suppose to have a washer that prevents the air from leaking out the hole?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Have been using this air compressor on my Umarex Gauntlet for over a year now.
Smooth in every action.
This pcp can and will out shoot it‚€™s shooter. I‚€™ve shot 8 shot groups tighter than reviews of the Wildcat on YouTube.
At 50 yards, I am blown away by its performance.
A silent killer at 59 and 62 yards on two quails. The FX Wildcat is a 5 out of 5 star pcp.
Not so wonderful...instructions, which seem to be more "one size fits all" and the funky little air pressure gauges on the rifle(s). I am always wondering how accurate they are. My only other concern with these rifles are double loading pellets in the barrel. I have not done this, and don't even know if it's possible...and I don't want to try.
Overall these are quiet, highly accurate, fun rifles to own. My few criticisms should not keep you from owning this piece.
I am confident John Mosses Browning himself would slap a 5 star rating on her without pause. And with the highest level of technology and craftsmanship showcased within this rifle I suspect ‚€œQ‚€ would be just a tad bit jealous.
Please see pic for entire ‚€œbundle‚€ that Greg helped me put together. Once again the sevice and equipment was without peer !!!
Is that normal practice?
Anyway the gun is very accurate, but the loudness is loud, nowhere near the Benjamin Maurader I had. It should not be #2 low medium, it almost as loud as a Benjamin nitro piston springer.
POWERFUL, ACCURATE, LIGHT WEIGHT,
THIS IS MY BEST GUN, AND I HAVE HAD 1/2 DOZEN GUNS IN MY TIME.
I NO LONGER HAVE TO EVEN LOOK FOR ANOTHER.
STOP SEARCHING AND
JUST BUY IT!!!!!!! BUY IT, AND DON'T FORGET TO JUST BUY IT!!!!!!!
It was shipped quickly and I received the replacement in about 7 days. The finish is good but the synthetic stock seems a little bit shorter. The remainder of the gun was great and shoots fine. It is more powerful that my other springer 25 calibers and easier to shoot.
It came in a nice cardboard box with foam padding, there is one magazine and a fill adapter included. The manual is in color and seems to be fairly comprehensive.
The cocking lever seems to operate fairly smooth and locks in place. The trigger is awesome best one I felt on an air rifle in sometime. The scope rail is a dovetail not a Picatinny or weaver mount. For another hundred dollars or so you can add that. But at $1,500 retail it probably should have came with it. The air charge adapter as a male threaded end, not a quick release like most air rifles. You have to buy a separate adapter if you want to use this on most hand pumps.
The reason I went with his rifle were the reviews of accuracy, velocity and innovative Barrel design. One big factor was the safety also, not an automatic safety.
I honestly think that FX could have added a few more conveniences to the rifle, picatinny rail, one additional magazine, a more user-friendly air fill adapter.
I haven't shot the rifle yet waiting on my fill adapter. Maybe the accuracy will take away from some of the initial shortcomings. It seems like a great air-gun, but I am a little disappointed FX didn't add a few extras for the price. Also the barrel was pretty dirty- requires cleaning before shooting right out of the box.
I was hoping for a backyard friendly PCP and I think this could be, but isn't as of yet. I have shot only about 100 pellets thru it and it seems very consistent and id definitely well made with fine fit and finish.
I would have given it 5 stars if it was at least as quiet as the marauder.
Very accurate out to 50 yards.
