Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1

Update to my Dec. ‘24 review. I own a number of airguns of all kinds and this one is one of my top 5. In over 2 years of moderate to heavy use it hasn’t given me one issue. Drop of silicone in the chamber once in a while and barrel cleaning and that’s it. This is the slickest cocking and shooting break barrel I have. Heavier cocking than the base power Gamos but nowhere near my 3 magnum powered break barrels. Some seem to have had an issue with the suppressor causing accuracy issues. I haven’t had any problems. I surely have 5k rounds through this gun by now. Make sure you mount your scope on the front section of the recoil reducing rail and don’t let a scope ring even touch the rear portion. You might have to drill your own hole for your stop pin. Mine really likes Hornets ,AEA 15.9, JTS 16.08, and Hades. Haven’t ventured past those four pellets. If you tried Gamo break barrels years ago, you need to experience the newer ones. I have 7 and not a bad 1 in the bunch.

Included scope of course, the mounting of your scope and eye relief takes a little doing because of the recoil reducing rail, but not that bad once you figure it out. Check out airgun detectives vids if you need tips

Air gun depot has been top of the line service. When I did have a problem it was taken care quickly. Always quick delivery. I have no complaints.

Good quality for the price. Very accurate right out of the box. I installed a after market scope right away. The scope scent is decent, but not as clear as I like. Over all great gun for the price.

I wouldn't change anything because it's extremely good gun for the money.

Measured velocity information for two .22 lead pellets: - Elevation: 6,700 ft. Per ICAO Standard Atmosphere, air density 18% and air pressure 22% lower than at sea level. - Temperature: 74 degrees F. - Velocity measured 5 ft from muzzle. - N=24 for both pellets. 1. Crosman Premier 14.3 grain: Average = 667 fps, std. dev. = 13.3 fps. 2. Gamo RedFire 15.59 grain: Average = 650 fps, std. dev. = 5.8 fps.

I got one of these on sale from Gamo a while back and its been put to its paces ever since. Not quite as powerful as my Magnum GR but pretty close. It has the same power plant as the Bone Collector. I havent taken a chance on the Swarm guns. I just think it adds too much complexity to such a simple platform and the last thing I want to do is send one in for warranty. Ive hit starlings at over 50 yards in tree tops with this gun pretty consistently. Same with my GR. Only small issue Ive had with my three Gamos with these open sights is the front sight globe has started to rattle a little. Nothing a little clear epoxy didnt fix. Install the 10mm trigger screw and youve got a match trigger. Got this because it can be left cocked for awhile being a gasser. Th GR is a springer. Im using UTG 4-16x40 hunter scopes on both. Keep your barrel clean and a drop of silicone oil in the cylinder once in a while and youre set. Mine really likes Hades and Hornets.

the things i would change is the silencer- that poor part of the rifle i bought in last year .177 .22 and both had silencer issues- removing both pins at nozzle and removing had glue both parts together- i use pc 7 epoxy- i dont like the dove tail so added Pict nary rail-and best scope found work with it after many cheap relative expensive is the vector optics paragon 3-15-50 scope-400.00 scope but well worth it for high powered pellet guns- i can hit head of pencil 15 yrds- but think the gamo should give a xtra silencer - and or make that part easily available-also find the premier pirahna 14.3 grain 400 count pellets work best use same on the .177- i do like the gun better than the wood stock Benjamin .177- though that gun is dead on too-

Air gun depot's service was great. Yesika was my agent, and she did a great job at getting my gun to me in a timely manner. She was polite, professional, and knowledgeable.

The scope was easy to attach, and pretty accurate right out of the box with no adjustment. Minor adjustment put it right on. The rifle shoots great. Can't wait to see how it does with small game with alloy pellets.

Overall great shooting rifle with nice power. Highly accurate with stock scope after only a few adjustments. This review is of the first 100 or so pellets fired after I unboxed the brand new rifle.

I would give this rifle 5 stars if not for the "Con" listed below. So, overall, I love this rifle. I was open to the idea of replacing the stock scope with something nicer if I could not get desired results. I mounted the stock scope and was shooting sub MOA groups at 25-30 yards. I was literally key holing pellets with the stock scope after shooting 10 pellets and making the required dope adjustments. I shot two different kinds of pellets-JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo .22 Cal, 15.89 gr - and some lighter grain Gamo pellets. I had good results with each of these pellets but the rifle was slightly more accurate with the Diablo Exact Jumbo 15.89 grain. Lots of thump and good accuracy with a dialed in scope. I will report back after I put more pellets through it. Overall, I recommend this rifle for fun plinking and varmint elimination.

I was initially excited about the fiber-optic sights and even considered not mounting a scope due to the sights. Well, for me and my rifle, that was a hard NO-GO. The groups were consistently good but way off and with only the rear sight being adjustable, I was using the force to hit targets without a scope mounted. I was disappointed with the accuracy/adjustability of the sights and this is why I docked it one star. Otherwise, this is a 5 star rifle in my opinion, thus far.

Straight out of the box I put 10 cheap rounds through it and immediately shot a 1/2 inch group at 40yds
