If anyone has suggestions on a source for a replacement rear sight assembly (Yes, I have contacted Hatsan) or the size Picatinny rail to get so I can add a red dot, fire away.
Pros
Power is impressive, as is accuracy.
Cons
Upon unboxing, I notoced the rear sight assembly was canted a bit. Hatsan CS said it happens, try tightening it up a bit. Tightened but no difference. Then the entire rear sight assembly fell off and disappeared into a time vortex. What I said about accuracy? Not so valid now. Yes, I know, use Loctite next time....
The break barrel does take some strength to operate on this one.
Pros
This gun is fantastic. It is powerful. It is accurate. I love the strut construction, The sites on the gun are very helpful to use. I am really glad I chose the .22 caliber. It really packs a punch.
Cons
The gun is more like a rifle size than a pistol. It is huge.
THE HOLSUN RED DOT SIGHT, NOT IMPRESSED. MOUNTED THE RED DOT, NOT VERY ADJUSTABLE.
Pros
LIKE THE FACT YOU CAN HAVE LEFT HANDED GRIPS
Cons
THE REAR SIGHT IS VERY FLIMSY, MADE FROM PLASTIC., NOT VERY ACCURATE AT 10 YARDS. I AM USING CROSSMAN PREMIER HOLLOW POINT PELLETS
ITs powerful enough to shatter a glass bottle i have the .22 version
Pros
Its good quality as far as i can tell so far an seems pretty powerful for a pistol
Cons
It is a bit big and not exactly pistol sized
when I received this air pistol, I took it down to my basement range (15yrds)
I noticed the mechanism bound up when cocking like it was hitting a stop (but it cocked sucessfully)
It shot well near bullseye
The second shot, I felt a small grinding while cocking - another decent shot
I took it to my shop and found the bar going back to the piston was hitting the 2 side screws holding the fore stock
The screws were longer than necessary and protruding through 2-3 mm (1/8in) and the transfer bar was hitting them
I filed them down, reassembled the gunand it would have been great --- but wait, the threads were too weak and stripped
I peened the threads in the welded tabs to at least get some purchase on the screws
The metal is crazy soft and you can barely snug the mounting screws (even) when new
I'm a competent machinist and have disassembled/repaired many mechanical devices in my 75 years, but this was irritating.
I own 7 airguns (and 10 firearms) including 3 Hatsans this is a first
Pros
shoots well - plenty of power
Cons
The metal threaded frame tabs to hold stock on are one time use
Well worth the money.
Pros
Solid build, feels good in the hand. hits hard! (.22) Easy to load.
Cons
The safety trigger is a bit strange, but you get used to it.
Pros
Love my new pistol. Accurate at 30 yards. The safety features are great. I particularly like the scope stop. I have had trouble with the scope traveling in the past. The red dot optical you suggested seems to be holding up but it is newly added.
Cons
Fixed sights are not exact enough.
The gun itself is a little larger than I had hoped but never got to see one first hand before ordering so not really a complaint. For a pistol with a barrel break cocking it probably would be to hard to operate if any smaller. I am having fun with it so far.
Pros
So far I have only put about 100 rounds through it. but first impressions are good. It is as hard hitting as I had hoped. seems to like the heavier pellets.
Cons
The sights although fully adjustable seem a little flimsy. Time will tell.
Pros
This thing hits hard! Iron sights are pretty decent, though way off out of the box. Added a Hawke red dot and the thing is surgical throwing Crosman hollow points. Am looking forward to putting some NSA slugs through it!
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. What is the anti bear trap mechanism?
asked Mike from USASo you dont get your Web between thumb and trigger finger caught if goes off during cocking,,,i Believe, maybe wrong ,happened to me on old beeman 22,hurt,stitches,etc
Joseph from USAWhere is this made?
asked Sheldon from USATurkey
Randy from USAIs the end of the barrel threaded?
asked Perry from USAWhat do I need to mount a red dot sight and does anyone recommend one.
asked Michael from USAYou can mount a 11 mm base red dot right on the gun. Most red dots are weaver base, You might need an adapter like AGD-A7424 $7.99
Mark from USAOn the hatsan 25 how hard is it to achieve the same Accuracy between springer and vortex models for a Single individual Shooting both models
asked Bill c from USAThe guns will shoot very much the same. There is very little difference between a gas piston or spring powered version.
Mark from USAWhat type of a holster can you recommend for this air pistal ?
asked atul from USAAnyone know what this clip is in front of the rear sight. I thought it was a scope stop? Not all of these guns have it. Maybe something the factory uses to align the sights?
asked FredThats what i use it for ,topped a racoon at least 75 yds away, yes,i was shocked too!
Joseph from USAI was wondering the same thing. I think it helps with elevation for the rear sight but not sure.
Timothy from USAIs this pistol legal in Canada?
asked Peter from USAAnyone know where I can obtain a new rear sight? Took mine off long ago to avoid fit issues w/ BSA red dot scope. Of course we moved in that time span. I'm tired of looking...
asked Ryan from USAI would contact Hatsan USA customer service
Kenneth from USAYour best bet would be to contact Hatsan, they have many replacement parts available.

Scott from USAWhat is the actual velocity for this gun? Under quick specs it says 700fps but under specifications it says 450fps.
asked CodyThe .22 cal is the 450fps model.
Douglas from USAAfter receiving and thoroughly cleaning the barrel, using Crosman single die wadcutters the first shot passed through the chronograph at 635 f.p.s. After a 200 shot break in, still shooting same ammo the chronograph was registering 727 f.p.s. It might, with further use hit 750 so I would suspect that whoever entered the 450 fps in the specs made a typo. I'll tell you this much, it sends pellets down the pipe faster than the rats in my chicken barn can run. I also added a BSA red dot optic which gives this pistol pin point accuracy after proper break in. Hope this helps you. Thanks. Will
Willie from USAgood morning i want to command for the france? HOW MANY MONEY? FOR TRANSPORT? the price is 129 DOLLARD ; en euro? HOW MANY ? THANK YOU

Scott from USACan a 9" long pistol scope be mounted on this pistol?
asked TomI am not sure because I mounted a red dot on mine. I did however measure the distance from where the barrel breaks to the back of the gun and that is 8.5 inches, however the scope dovetails are closer to the front of the gun and not centered. You may be able to get away by lifting the scope at least 1 1/4+ inches order to clear the radius of the barrel when you caulk it. Hope this helps. AC
Andre from USAI believe with the correct mount rings hardware attached to the 11mm dovetail rail, a 9 inch pistol scope could be configured to fit the Hatsun 25 pistol.
Grady from USAAnybody have a scope recommendation? Seems like this could be tough on a scope with the anti-recoil setup.
asked Jack from USAI used the NC Star 1x45 Tactical Red Dot with Laser and QT Weaver Mount available here for $64.90. You will also need the Leapers 11mm Dovetail to Weaver Adapter to mount it to the pistol. It's available here for $9.99. This is a great heavy duty setup with no recoil issues, and it's very accurate once sighted in.
Jeffrey from USAWhat is the force needed to cock the barrel?
asked BD53 pounds according to the specs, but it doesn't seem excessive. I've let around a 100 rounds fly in an hour with no fatigue, and I'm kinda scrawny.
Sergey KHello, Ples check Order # 489609 placed 02/23/2013 can't ship. Because now that I ordered Hatsan Model 25 show instock and can checkout. But previously. Scott from USADoes the air stripper screw onto the barrel extension?
asked MattYes , it threads right on the end of the barrel. It would be really difficult to cock this pistol without this attachment
Willie from USAWhat is a good (best) scope for this gun?
asked John MurphyLooking to purchase this pistol. Do have a recommendation on a good gun case for this pistol?
asked Amit SDoes anyone have a good suggestion for a scope and which mounts? I think my scope is overkill so to say. Not that the gun does not have enough power as it has plenty of that! Actually, I used an air rifle scope and it does not need that. Thanx
asked Art from USAim from argentina and i want that pistol can you send me?
asked florenciaGo to that webpage, where the item you want is. Click on "Add to Cart." (There will be a pop up with other items if you want those) Then click "proceed to checkout" if that is everything you want. When your checking out at the sight and there is a restriction you will get a warning before you purchase the product. There are a lot of different regulations for all different countries and they are always changing, so we have set up an automatic warring if there is a product, based on your location, that is forbidden.
Scott from USAHow about cocking effort, how much lbs is it? It's not mentioned in the specifications and descriptions?
asked egayI think it is around 53 pound cocking effort. The average man has no problem with it. Although you might have some sore chest muscles if you shoot it 50 times ! (Guilty)
Jack from USAI'm not sure how much effort in pounds it takes to cock the pistol. What I can tell you is cocking this pistol is not for the weak. I added the compensator / air stripper to the end of the barrel on mine which gives you enough leverage to cock it without straining or pulling a bicep muscle. It's a great shooter and it's only drawback is the cocking effort.
Willie from USACan this be used for hunting?
asked adamYes. If you can hit it, it will kill it. No problem
Mikehttp://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/28182.html Air gun - a firearm that uses spring or compressed air (not gunpowder) to propel a single projectile that is .17 caliber or larger and produces a muzzle velocity of at least 600 feet per second. Smooth or rifled bore air guns are allowed.... so I suppose you can
wayne from USAHow is the pistol performance, is the power and the muzzle velocity satisfactory based on their claim 600 FPS? How about distance accuracy, is it accurate at 50 ft.?
asked EgayMy 25 is accurate for farther than that. More like 30 yards for accuracy but then drops off. Yes, I have gotten little varmints at a pretty good distance and they don't move after a hit.
Art from USAis the barrel mounted in plastic like the new ruger pellet pistol
asked Ronald StumpIt does have plastic parts, but I would say that the hatsan is far higher quality.
Steve from USACan you kill a squirrel with this Air Pistol?
asked Thomas from USAyes. Range matters a bit since the shot is slower though. Depends on how brave/stupid the squirrels are.
Scott from USAIs the 700 fps taken with alloy or lead pellets? Also would like to use this gun for squirrel control, shooting 20 yards.
asked ThomasMost likely alloy pellets.
Steve from USA
Pros
This thing packs a wall up and was extremely easy to side in. Within just a few shots I was getting a 3-in group at 100 ft. That's with open sights! Haven't put a scope on it. Don't think I need to.
Cons
It's a bit long but that keeps it accurate. A bit hard to cock, but very powerful.
