I own this pistol in .177 it is by far my favorite pistol. When I first received the gun it got a good cleaning then it got lubed up.Started off shooting it at 10 yards. Wow I could hardly believe my eyes. Without any tweaks at all on the open sights and the trigger this gun was stacking pellets one on top of the other. When to 20 yards dime size with open sights. The trigger broke like a glass tube. I loved it! Manual said it was 5 lbs mine pulled at 2 1/2 lbs and 7 gr pellets were cronied at 728 to 743. I was laughing and giggling like a teenage girl in a tickle fight. I kid you not. It reminds me of shooting my Thompson Contender with a 14" .223 it cracks off the shot with felt power via its fancy anti-recoil system. I tell you what I couldn't be happier with this gun. Plus I am never going to scope it. It shoots that good.

Pros
The power it has! The trigger is amazing and at a pull I love. It is fun and accurate as all get out. The cost was minimal for what you get. I have done nothing at all to this gun other than clean and lube it.

Cons
Haha none

Handles well and fits me .will be great for a walk in the woods this fall. Looking froward to getting a few birds and squirrels this fall. Thanks for your help.

Cons
very hard to load !!

When I first got this gun I didn't think it was very accurate. But, I sighted it in and this thing is great. I'm plinking cans from about 25 yards away! The cocking is tough but we'll worth the results! Accuracy. That's what it's all about.

Pros
Very accurate and consistent.

Cons
Cocking is difficult.

This a great air pistol, I've ran about 300 shots through it. I had to adjust the sights front and rear so I was shooting exactly were I wanted. The trigger pull is quite long so you really have to take your time and not snatch at it.. It is adjustable though, but I have not tried this. Likes wadcutter pellets best h&n excite hobby and remington wadcutter work well in mine Plenty of power and a fun gun to fire. Recommended

Pros
Power Accuracy Automatic safety Build quality Sight mounts Looks

Cons
Comes in cardboard box - a case would have been nice

Bought mine some months ago I'm a lefty so right off the bat I needed grips and Hatsan had them and I've been happy every since. Hits hard shoots well can get to be hard to cock after a bunch of pellets. I set up a couple of tin cans on my fence posts at 33 yds. 3" across by 4" tall it's a blast

Pros
Good solid built and accurate

Cons
Tough cocking not a junior pistol

Received in good condition. Cleaned the bbl. and test fired 10 - 7.9 gr pellets. All 10 hit point of aim at 21 feet in a 3/4 inch group. Choreographed at 632.9 fps. The allen wrench included to adjust the trigger is useless because the adjustment screws are slotted heads not allen socket. I am happy with the pistol so far but it is not for the weak. It is a bear to cock.

Pros
Everything about the pistol so far.

Cons
None. tho the hard cocking is going to take some getting used to.

Great pistol! Solid build, accurate, and fun to shoot. Thought it would be cheaply made I was wrong. Impressed with Hatsan. I own several of their rifles and I like those to. Compared to my RWS 5G not as refined but the price is half. Compared to the Browning more accurate for me.Compared to the Benjamin NP pistol shoots much harder. Great pistol that packs a punch and very accurate. Cant put it down. Would highly recommend.

Pros
Power, Price, Quality, Fun

Cons
Bulky

It took about 20 shots for this pistol to begin to settle in. After that, I was able to keep most shots within an inch at 25 ft. This is the first Hatsan I have owned. It seems to be very well made and good quality. It's powerful too. I was able to take out 3 squirrels with 3 shots. They dropped immediately and did not require a 2nd shot. My pecan trees have a new protector.

Pros
The rear sights is easy to adjust. This airgun has a great trigger for a pistol in this price range. The Hatsan 25 is powerful for an air pistol. The Hatsan 25 is relatively quiet for a pistol this powerful.

Cons
The Hatsan 25 needs be be made quieter. The cocking extension is a bit short. It should be a couple inches longer to make cocking a bit easier. This would also enable room for sound suppression. There are no clear instructions on how and where to lubricate the Hatsan 25.

Anyone know where I can obtain a new rear sight? Took mine off long ago to avoid fit issues w/ BSA red dot scope. Of course we moved in that time span. I'm tired of looking...

asked Ryan from USA

Your best bet would be to contact Hatsan, they have many replacement parts available.

Scott from USA

Scott from USA

What is the actual velocity for this gun? Under quick specs it says 700fps but under specifications it says 450fps.

asked Cody

After receiving and thoroughly cleaning the barrel, using Crosman single die wadcutters the first shot passed through the chronograph at 635 f.p.s. After a 200 shot break in, still shooting same ammo the chronograph was registering 727 f.p.s. It might, with further use hit 750 so I would suspect that whoever entered the 450 fps in the specs made a typo. I'll tell you this much, it sends pellets down the pipe faster than the rats in my chicken barn can run. I also added a BSA red dot optic which gives this pistol pin point accuracy after proper break in. Hope this helps you. Thanks. Will

Can a 9" long pistol scope be mounted on this pistol?

asked Tom

I am not sure because I mounted a red dot on mine. I did however measure the distance from where the barrel breaks to the back of the gun and that is 8.5 inches, however the scope dovetails are closer to the front of the gun and not centered. You may be able to get away by lifting the scope at least 1 1/4+ inches order to clear the radius of the barrel when you caulk it. Hope this helps. AC

Andre from USA

I believe with the correct mount rings hardware attached to the 11mm dovetail rail, a 9 inch pistol scope could be configured to fit the Hatsun 25 pistol.

Grady from USA

Anybody have a scope recommendation? Seems like this could be tough on a scope with the anti-recoil setup.

asked Jack from USA

I used the NC Star 1x45 Tactical Red Dot with Laser and QT Weaver Mount available here for $64.90. You will also need the Leapers 11mm Dovetail to Weaver Adapter to mount it to the pistol. It's available here for $9.99. This is a great heavy duty setup with no recoil issues, and it's very accurate once sighted in.

Jeffrey from USA

What is the force needed to cock the barrel?

asked BD

53 pounds according to the specs, but it doesn't seem excessive. I've let around a 100 rounds fly in an hour with no fatigue, and I'm kinda scrawny.

Does the air stripper screw onto the barrel extension?

asked Matt

Yes , it threads right on the end of the barrel. It would be really difficult to cock this pistol without this attachment

Willie from USA

What is a good (best) scope for this gun?

asked John Murphy

Looking to purchase this pistol. Do have a recommendation on a good gun case for this pistol?

asked Amit S

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a scope and which mounts? I think my scope is overkill so to say. Not that the gun does not have enough power as it has plenty of that! Actually, I used an air rifle scope and it does not need that. Thanx

asked Art from USA

im from argentina and i want that pistol can you send me??

asked florencia

Go to that webpage, where the item you want is. Click on "Add to Cart." (There will be a pop up with other items if you want those) Then click "proceed to checkout" if that is everything you want. When your checking out at the sight and there is a restriction you will get a warning before you purchase the product. There are a lot of different regulations for all different countries and they are always changing, so we have set up an automatic warring if there is a product, based on your location, that is forbidden.

Scott from USA

How about cocking effort, how much lbs is it? It's not mentioned in the specifications and descriptions?

asked egay

I think it is around 53 pound cocking effort. The average man has no problem with it. Although you might have some sore chest muscles if you shoot it 50 times ! (Guilty)

Jack from USA

I'm not sure how much effort in pounds it takes to cock the pistol. What I can tell you is cocking this pistol is not for the weak. I added the compensator / air stripper to the end of the barrel on mine which gives you enough leverage to cock it without straining or pulling a bicep muscle. It's a great shooter and it's only drawback is the cocking effort.

Willie from USA

Can this be used for hunting?

asked adam

http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/28182.html Air gun - a firearm that uses spring or compressed air (not gunpowder) to propel a single projectile that is .17 caliber or larger and produces a muzzle velocity of at least 600 feet per second. Smooth or rifled bore air guns are allowed.... so I suppose you can

wayne from USA

How is the pistol performance, is the power and the muzzle velocity satisfactory based on their claim 600 FPS? How about distance accuracy, is it accurate at 50 ft.?

asked Egay

My 25 is accurate for farther than that. More like 30 yards for accuracy but then drops off. Yes, I have gotten little varmints at a pretty good distance and they don't move after a hit.

Art from USA

is the barrel mounted in plastic like the new ruger pellet pistol

asked Ronald Stump

It does have plastic parts, but I would say that the hatsan is far higher quality.

Steve from USA

Can you kill a squirrel with this Air Pistol?

asked Thomas from USA

yes. Range matters a bit since the shot is slower though. Depends on how brave/stupid the squirrels are.

Scott from USA

Is the 700 fps taken with alloy or lead pellets? Also would like to use this gun for squirrel control, shooting 20 yards.

asked Thomas

Most likely alloy pellets.
