This one is number one , in my book!
October 31, 2019
I own this pistol in .177 it is by far my favorite pistol. When I first received the gun it got a good cleaning then it got lubed up.Started off shooting it at 10 yards. Wow I could hardly believe my eyes. Without any tweaks at all on the open sights and the trigger this gun was stacking pellets one on top of the other. When to 20 yards dime size with open sights. The trigger broke like a glass tube. I loved it! Manual said it was 5 lbs mine pulled at 2 1/2 lbs and 7 gr pellets were cronied at 728 to 743. I was laughing and giggling like a teenage girl in a tickle fight. I kid you not. It reminds me of shooting my Thompson Contender with a 14" .223 it cracks off the shot with felt power via its fancy anti-recoil system. I tell you what I couldn't be happier with this gun. Plus I am never going to scope it. It shoots that good.
ProsThe power it has! The trigger is amazing and at a pull I love. It is fun and accurate as all get out. The cost was minimal for what you get. I have done nothing at all to this gun other than clean and lube it.
ConsHaha none

Love this gun!

When I first got this gun I didn't think it was very accurate. But, I sighted it in and this thing is great. I'm plinking cans from about 25 yards away! The cocking is tough but we'll worth the results! Accuracy. That's what it's all about.
ProsVery accurate and consistent.
ConsCocking is difficult.

Great powerful pistol!
June 18, 2017
This a great air pistol, I've ran about 300 shots through it. I had to adjust the sights front and rear so I was shooting exactly were I wanted. The trigger pull is quite long so you really have to take your time and not snatch at it.. It is adjustable though, but I have not tried this. Likes wadcutter pellets best h&n excite hobby and remington wadcutter work well in mine
Plenty of power and a fun gun to fire. Recommended

Great pellet pistol
July 21, 2015
Bought mine some months ago I'm a lefty so right off the bat I needed grips and Hatsan had them and I've been happy every since.
Hits hard shoots well can get to be hard to cock after a bunch of pellets. I set up a couple of tin cans on my fence posts at 33 yds.
3" across by 4" tall it's a blast
ProsGood solid built and accurate
ConsTough cocking not a junior pistol
By Grunon G.
Very accurate
January 20, 2015
Received in good condition. Cleaned the bbl. and test fired 10 - 7.9 gr pellets.
All 10 hit point of aim at 21 feet in a 3/4 inch group.
Choreographed at 632.9 fps.

The allen wrench included to adjust the trigger is useless because the adjustment screws are slotted heads not allen socket.

I am happy with the pistol so far but it is not for the weak. It is a bear to cock.
ProsEverything about the pistol so far.
ConsNone. tho the hard cocking is going to take some getting used to.

Hatsan .22 Pistol
September 18, 2014
Great pistol! Solid build, accurate, and fun to shoot. Thought it would be cheaply made I was wrong. Impressed with Hatsan. I own several of their rifles and I like those to. Compared to my RWS 5G not as refined but the price is half. Compared to the Browning more accurate for me.Compared to the Benjamin NP pistol shoots much harder. Great pistol that packs a punch and very accurate. Cant put it down. Would highly recommend.
ProsPower, Price, Quality, Fun

This pistol is both accurate and powerful!
September 9, 2014
It took about 20 shots for this pistol to begin to settle in. After that, I was able to keep most shots within an inch at 25 ft. This is the first Hatsan I have owned. It seems to be very well made and good quality. It's powerful too. I was able to take out 3 squirrels with 3 shots. They dropped immediately and did not require a 2nd shot. My pecan trees have a new protector.
ProsThe rear sights is easy to adjust. This airgun has a great trigger for a pistol in this price range. The Hatsan 25 is powerful for an air pistol. The Hatsan 25 is relatively quiet for a pistol this powerful.
ConsThe Hatsan 25 needs be be made quieter. The cocking extension is a bit short. It should be a couple inches longer to make cocking a bit easier. This would also enable room for sound suppression. There are no clear instructions on how and where to lubricate the Hatsan 25.

The TruGlo sights are very accurate right out of the box. On long distance shots I simple aim a little high to hit my target. I don't see the pellet drifting at all. I'm using Vortex Express 13.12 grain. After only running about 25 pellets through it: At just over 20 yards I nailed a rabbit, just had to aim about 1" over his head to hit the target. He dropped like a rock. Impressive pistol, but I'm trying to find a nice Red Dot reflex sight for it. All the good ones seem to be picatinny rail type only. That huge thumb rest is weird.
ProsAccurate * Powerful * Good price
ConsHeavy * Long * The odd/huge thumb rest should be eliminated.

I can't put it down!

I'm not going to waste your time with a bunch of stats on this pistol. You can find that in other reviews and videos. What I am going to tell you is how much fun this Hatsan mod.25 22cal. pistol is to shoot. I got it for Christmas and have been shooting it almost every day since. The pistol looks great and it feels even better in your hand. Your hand will just melt into the molded grips. The balance is excellent even for a gun that is just a bit heavier than most, especially mine with a couple of upgrades. I got the deal of the day because my 22 cal. also came with the Hatsan Air Stripper. I have not shot the gun without it, so I am not going to have an opinion on weather it helps or not with accuracy. I do know that it looks cool and that it assists in cocking the pistol. Oh, I have shot this gun well over a thousand times and it is not that difficult to cock. Yes, there is some tension, but come on, really, I'm sixty years old, 147 lbs, and can shoot all day and not even think about getting tired cocking this thing. The safety was a little gritty when I first started using the gun, but it is now sliding much more smoothly. Original fiber optic sites were ok, but as soon as my weaver style scope mount arrived, I ditched the sites for something far more accurate.

I wanted accuracy so I put on an adapter to use weaver scope rings and added a 3x9x40 rifle scope. I used loctite on all the screws, nuts and even the dovetail grooves, this system is rock solid. The way the top of the pistol's recoil system slides, it puts a lot of force on the scope mounts, but everything stays in place and holds zero. Looks a bit strange but it works. At 25 feet I can easily shoot dime size groups standing with no support other than using an artillery style hold.

Gamo Diabolo match pellets group the best so far, with Crosman Premier domed ultra magnum pellets coming in second. I also tried RWS super points and super domes, although they shot decent groups, they were not quite as tight.

This gun does shoot hard, at 25 feet pellets will penetrate 3/4 inch into a piece of 1 inch drywall, two 1/2 inch pieces taped together. So, no doubt, at close range, Mr. Squirrel is in trouble.

I will try to include a couple pictures of my setup, enjoy!
ProsThis is an excellent pistol for the money. Great fun to shoot, well built and accurate with right pellets.
ConsNeeds Weaver style scope ring mounts, other than that, great gun.

Great air pistol.
January 19, 2014
It's large and heavy but it shoots well. I find it IS hold sensitive, but it is consistent whether I hold it loose all the time or if I hold it tight all the time, the POI just moves about 1/2 inch at 7 yards from tight to loose (shoots consistently lower by 1/2" if held tightly). That might seem to fly in the face of what you've read elsewhere but that is my experience. Shoots Crow Magnum .22 very well, CPHP also do well but feel less consistent in size when inserting into the breech. It is NOT hard to cock for me once I became used to it; it just takes a light tap to get the breech open rather than just pushing.
ProsTrigger is consistent, and light Accurate Powerful for what it is: a springer pistol Pick a hold and stick with it; the pistol will probably be consistent no matter what you choose Nice sights: click-adjustable for windage/elevation on rear sight. Good value

Most accurate airgun for me.
November 22, 2013
This thing is one heck of a bang for your buck! I've had many airguns and this thing is the most accurate gun iI have for my 60' plinking range. I can peg quarters 7/10 times while shooting without any kind of rest at 60'. This thing is not very picky with regards to your choice of pellet either. As for the cocking effort; sprout a pair metro boys...its not a problem for me, and I'm 5'4" and out of shape...
ProsAccurate, plenty of smack-down power, and easy on the wallet.
ConsMy entire life until I got it.

Hard hitting pistol
November 14, 2013
This gun has power. It seems well built, but mine does not have a good trigger. Could not get the travel adjusted out of it. If shooting free handed, this is not acceptable at all. The pistol seemed to group well off sand bags, but the critters very rarely allow you to shoot from a bench.

Hatsan Model 25 SuperCharger Break Barrel Air Pistol .177 cal
July 11, 2013
To sum up this pistol in one word it would have to be "powerful"! I've owned several CO2 and spring action pistols, but this one tops them all.
The grip feels good to the hand and the front and rear sights are easily seen. It actually takes both hands to hold the gun steady on target.
I first tried breaking down the barrel without the extension and it was loadable, but difficult, as could be expected.
A screw came loose out of the front sight adjustment, so I just used some super glue to hold it in place. The gun is very accurate at 60 feet, if you have a steady hand. I highly recommend this pistol to anyone that wants more power without using CO2 are multiple pump action.
ProsHand grips, sights and pellet velocity
ConsFront sight had loose screw, possibly needed some thread lock compound at factory assembly.

Dead-on Accuracy!
June 6, 2013
Wow. Love this pistol! Inexpensive for the quality and accuracy. Once again Airgun Depot had my order to me within 2 days of purchase. Shoots everything pretty much the same: spot on. My favorite pellet for this gun is Webley Accu-pell. Doesn't really make a lot of noise, but has an amazing amount of power. Grips are for right handed only, but left handed grips are available (from where I don't know). The trigger is fantastic right out of the box; I haven't even played with it and probably won't. A little on the heavy side, and the cocking effort is ridiculous. Oh did I mention it's big? You can hold it with two hands comfortably. However, none of this diminishes my enjoyment of this fine pistol.
ProsPowerful, accurate, quality
Consheavy, hard to cock, huge

The Best Break Barrel Pistol on the Market
April 27, 2013
This is an excellent pistol in all regards. Performs great, hard hitting, accurate, and high quality control.
ProsSimply the best break barrel pistol on the market for the price and power. The model is basically identical to the Browning and RWS/Daina (sp?) break barrel pistols, but without the overblown cost. There is no doubt you are simply paying more for the name if you purchase a similar Browning or RWS model...practically the same gun, and the exact same power with outstanding quality manufacturing. Don't give these companies your money, go with the Hatsan.

April 8, 2013
I've held off reviewing this pistol until I have really had a chance to play with it. This is a great pistol! I've loved it since I took it out of the box. It's as accurate as I am and the open sights are also very good. I'm not the best pistol shot but I was able to hit a black bird
at 25 yards with it. Plenty of knock down power for pests.
ProsGreat right out of the box.
ConsIts pretty big.

Well worth the money. HP25177 Hatsan Model 25 SuperCharger Break Barrel Air Pistol .177 cal
February 3, 2013
I am very pleased with the Hatsan Model 25 SuperCharger Break Barrel Air Pistol. It has great power and is even better than Airgun Depot said that it would be. The trigger is excellent. I hope that it is still around when my grandkids get old enough to start shooting. I will buy all 4 of them this gun. It is a good training gun as well as a great air pistol. I do wish that I had this when I was younger. It is in many ways far better than a 22 to train with and in many ways more fun to shoot. I am almost 60 and I enjoy it even now and look forward to years of shooting this Pistol. I will buy more. This gun will make shooting my other guns better also.
ProsIts accuracy, power, and just a good feel in your hand.
ConsA little hard to cock.

Strong air pistol
January 2, 2013
I was impresses with the power and accuracy right out of the box. At 20 yards, the pellet will go through both sides of a 5 gallon bucket. It exceeded my expectations.
ProsPower and accuracy.
ConsThe stock doesn't seem to be the most sturdy connected to the barrel. But for 115 bucks, I will not complain.

Looks well made. It is a quality pistol. It shoots well right out of the box. I was hitting targets at 105 ft, very accurate. Lots of power and this gun hits hard!!!! The recoil system is a plus, the gun doesn't spring back on you. I really like the qautro trigger, smooth and easy. I definitely recommend this pistol.
ProsTrigger, power, and accuracy.
Cons A little tough to cock.

For being a woman, the screw on cocking aid makes it easier for me to use. I also like the sights on it.

September 20, 2012
Very powerful gun! Could be used for hunting. It is larger than most pistols and is much heavier, if carried for long periods. Very good quality and cost. Must be a right hand shooter because the way the pistol grip is made. Very accurate out of the box! Did not need to site this pistol. Has a really cool look to it. Everyone who sees it wants to shot it. I would recommend this pistol to any adult shooter. A bit large for younger shooters.
ProsVery powerful! Accurate out of the box. Cool look factor. Small game gun, good for hunting. Great price and quality.
ConsLarger in size than most pistols. Heavy. Right-hand shooters only! No holster or strap included. Digital camo please!

Hatsan Mod.25 Break-barrel
September 7, 2012
Hatsan has a winner with this .22 caliber pistol. The sights are not the best in low light situations but will do. The Mod. 25 has dovetail grooves for a scope or laser. Trigger pull should be lessened in my opinion. Accuracy is what makes this gun stand out. Incredibly accurate at 10 meters w/factory open sights. Put a laser on it!!!!
ProsAccuracy and ergonomic shaped grips.
ConsSights could be brighter and the trigger pull brought to +/- 1.5 lbs. Would be nice to shave a couple of pounds off of the weight to make it available in .25 caliber.

I bought this gun on the daily special and have given it enough time so i can give an honest evaluation. I could say it in one word, "AWESOME!" Brings me back to my days with my Remington XP-100! This gun is accurate after a little playing around with it. Now everything I aim at doesn't move after i shoot it. Seems to be a very well built gun and this will be with me forever! I read about the pinched finger/hand and i have taken hundreds of shots and I am fine. Maybe there is something wrong with that one gun? Anyway, I highly rate this gun at a 9 on my scale of 1-10. I am shooting it more than my rifles now.
ProsHow it handles when shooting i think part of it is the nice handles. Everything else has the big gooooooooooo with me. I like using the Crosman Destroyer pellets. With this gun,"If it flies it dies!"
ConsJust a tad heavy with the scope but not much.

June 14, 2012
I recieved one that I purchased on the daily deal .. Ran a couple patches through it , cocked it (not bad at all with the cocking aid) and fired.. WOW !!! Great trigger, recoil lot less than than expected. and hit the target with a loud smack!! Best pistol I've shot and accurate to boot.. 2 1/2" groups at 100 '.. Can't be beat for the money.. GET ONE!!
ConsMaybe a better rail for scope mounting is about it..
