The Remington Model 1875 Single Action Army, also known as the Frontier Army or Improved Army, was produced by E. Remington & Sons, which eventually became the Remington Arms Company, in 1875 and it is based upon the Model 1858. It was made to compete with the Colt Peacemaker and became widely successful, with an order from the Egyptian government for 10,000 pistols.

The CO2 model is able to shoot both BBs and pellets (.177 cal), as it includes 6 cartridges for each. With the nickel finish and faux ivory grips, this is one of the best looking replicas weve seen in a long time. It will definitely provide hours of fun in the backyard or training for your next Fast Draw competition.

Nice Suprise!!! Way better quality than I expected.
An excellent pellet gun. Looks way better than I expected. The finish and quality are excellent. You can't go wrong especially for the price.
ProsThe price and the quality. just can't beat the value for the money.
Consnone
Best UsesI use the gun to dispatch Salmon and Tuna before bringing them onto the boat. It does a great job at this task and is a definite safety factor. Shooting a fish with a 22 while the boat is rocking in the open ocean is dangerous. By shooting the fish before bringing it on board is also much safer for the person handling the fish and removing the hooks from the fish. A flopping 30lb tuna with razor sharp teeth is dangerous and this simple pellet gun puts and end to the danger right now. The fact this is a six shooter is also a huge plus just in case the first shot didn't do the job. No hurry up and reload with this six shooter just cock the hammer and shoot it again. What a nice gun!!! Works perfectly for my use. Way safer than a 22 for this type of use and it still has the power to do the job.

Nice Replica Pistol
Generally speaking, I'd rank the Schofield ahead of this one. I'd put this Remington on par with the Colt SAA. The Schofield is easier to load and has a marginally better trigger. Those are the main differences. This 1875 is a nice replica. It was accurate out of the box at 15-20 feet, the distance of my garage targets. It's a bit muzzle heavy, but is a classy looking pistol. Looks trump minor issues like no screws in the grips.
ProsFairly accurate, very good looking, nice finish, firm trigger but does not pull you off target, not loud, good use of CO2. Dual ammo is nice.
ConsDifficult to load if you don't remove the shell casing from the cylinder. Plastic package from hell.
Best UsesIt's a plinker and a show piece.

High quality
Received and fired today. Smooth mechanism and fun to shoot.
ProsLooks great, nice workmanship, got 100 shots on one co2, fairly accurate. Airgun Depot is an excellent vendor that responds to email inquiries quickly.
ConsYou get six shells for BBs and six for pellets with the gun BUT you can only get extra shells for BBs directly by calling and ordering through Crosman. Crosman should provide these shells to other outlets. like Airgun Depot, for ease of purchase and customer savings on shipping costs.

Remington 1875 SA
I got this pistol 1 week ago and have fired over 100 rounds with it. It looks and feels good, although the handle is a bit big. Once I figured how to aim it, it's pretty accurate in reasonable ranges. So far it works better with BB's than pellets, which suits me fine. For $99 you can't go wrong.
ProsLooks and feels good, easy to load, not hard on co2, shoots bb's, pellets and darts, good price.
ConsPackaging sucks, pellets misfire sometimes.

1875 Remington
I absolutely love this pistol! I have a real 1875 Remington reproduction with the 5 1/2" barrel. I can't get over how realistic it is! It shoots like a dream! With bb's or pellets!
ProsI love everything about the pistol! Beautifully designed & crafted! Very accurate & handles well!
ConsThe only thing I hate is the packing it came in! Should've came in a presentation box or something nicer than a blister pack!

Remington Replica That Shoots
Feels just like the real thing. Shoots dual ammo too. Very nice finish and overall makeup. Made of metal so it is heavy like the real Remington from the western days.
ProsChrome finish is flawless. Made of metal to have the feel of the real Remington. Shoots bbs and pellets.

Nice gun
Nice to look at and handles well, not compatible to the Umarex cartridges, but I probably won't be shooting it much anyway. Too pretty to play with.

So so for the price.
Just received mine today after ordering it on January 18 2017. I have 5 of the peacemakers and the Remington 1875 is the same quality no better. All the peacemakesr came with a decent display box while the Remington comes in a piece of junk blister pack that you cut apart and throw away. Crosman you can't compete with Umarex
ProsEqual to the Umarex Peacemker
ConsGarbage blister pack after waiting 7 months for my order

Well worth the wait"
This is a beautiful gun it appears to be very well made. It is like the Umarex Colts in a lot of ways such as safety in same spot and other S/A features the co2 loads in the grIp but the Allen key is loose not on the grip like the Umarex. The finish is excellent and flawless.I'm happy with it and I hope they make more variations to choose from.
ProsAll that I stated above and what a beauty"
ConsNone for the gun but for the life of me,Why didn't they put this in a western style collectable box" In stead of the cheap plastic theft proof pkg. That you would find in Wal-Mart. In later years this El cheapo pkg. may hurt collector value.I have Air Guns from 1937 in the original box including Benjamin and Crosman. unless some day they will or offer a western style box. It may not mean much to non collectors but a box adds almost 20 or 40 % to the gun.at a show. That's the 21st centaury.

Crossman not Umarex
Just received today, would really liked to have not rated, only gave 4 stars as I have not shot, and may not. I have several models of the Colt SAA by Umarex that I have not shot. I have a collection of the western style guns. I have several Umarex SAA and Walther Model 94 Winchester from Umarex, also a Daisy 150 year edition BB model. Wanted to give information for anyone thinking about buying. The license with Remington is with Crossman not Umarex as is the Colt SAA. I didn't realize this when I ordered, but would still have bought, as Crossman has been around a long time and I have owned air guns from them before.
ProsNice looking and has the appearance and weight of a real Remington 1875 (I own a real 357 mag).
ConsCan NOT use the same cartridges used in the Umarex Colt Single Action Army, as these are a little bit smaller. Also they are all brass in color you must look for the pellet symbol on the back of the cartridge. The pellet cartridges for the SAA are silver, and BB are brass color. The cartridges form the SAA do not fit in this gun.
