The Remington Model 1875 Single Action Army, also known as the Frontier Army or Improved Army, was produced by E. Remington & Sons, which eventually became the Remington Arms Company, in 1875 and it is based upon the Model 1858. It was made to compete with the Colt Peacemaker and became widely successful, with an order from the Egyptian government for 10,000 pistols. The CO2 model is able to shoot both BB's and pellets (.177 cal), as it includes 6 cartridges for each. With the nickel finish and faux ivory grips, this is one of the best looking replicas we've seen in a long time. It will definitely provide hours of fun in the backyard or training for your next Fast Draw competition. Remington 1875 BB/Pellet Revolver

The description says it is a swing out cylinder, it is not. The cylinder is removable but involves pulling a pin from the front, much like a 1858. The loading port does swing open, like a Colt SAA. It is a smooth bore and accuracy is that of a bb gun rather than what you'd expect from a pellet gun. I wouldn't waste pellets....it is as accurate as my schofield bb gun though.

Pros
Seems to be of the same quality as the Colt SAA and Schofield, rather well made except for the cylinder.

Cons
The cylinder is a big disappointment, it's not solid (it's hollowed out). The Colt SAA and Schofield are MUCH more authentic. The grip is rather large and a little uncomfortable in my hand, I'm not sure how authentic it is to the original. I do a lot of shooting, have my own range, and of my MANY real antique and reproduction handguns this is the largest grip. I'll get use to it. The writing on the frame and there is an overabundance, is laser etched and not painted/printed on for those thinking they may desire to remove it.

I am avid target shooter. I have been shooting firearms for over 40 years. This gun well exceeded my expectations for a pellet gun. It is a pleasure to shoot. I highly recommend purchasing this gun.

Pros
Very well made gun. It is heavy to hold and feels like the authentic firearm. The cylinder is solid with no play in it all. It is very accurate in target shooting. Very well made dual ammo gun.

Cons
None

The Remington 1875 Dual Ammo Replica Revolver is full metal (except for the grip, which is a pearl looking plastic) and it feels amazing to hold. The weight is balanced perfectly for a realistic feel. Overall I would rate the cosmetics of the gun a solid 9/10, the only reason I deducted a point is due to the handle being plastic, I would prefer something like bone, wood or ivory, but I understand that making the grip one of those three materials would be more expensive. Now for performance. The Remington 1875 Dual Ammo Replica Revolver fires between 410 and 450 fps and is the most accurate pellet/BB gun I own (next to my high fps pellet rifle). It is very easy to load/unload and even easier to use. As I stated earlier this dual ammo revolver is much more accurate than I expected (I am very impressed by this). I would rate the performance at a 12/10. For my final rating, I give it 10/10 (5/5) because the amazing performance makes up for the plastic grip.

Pros
- Amazing accuracy - Realistic look and feel - Easy to load/unload and use

Cons
-Plastic grip
