This BB gun is a replica pistol based on the S&W Military and Police firearm. The M&P air pistol is a BB repeater powered by one 12g CO2 cylinder that hides in the grip of the BB pistol. An integrated accessory rail underneath the muzzle is a great place to add a tactical flashlight or an air gun laser. An element of realism is added with a 19-shot drop out BB magazine. The Smith & Wesson M&P CO2 pistol has a manual safety, double action trigger that's amazingly close to the actual handgun, and fixed front and rear fiber optic sights. The shape- weight and function of the Smith & Wesson M&P 40 by Umarex has all the similarity of the live-fire handgun. This BB replica is not only a great BB gun for some fun plinking, but also makes a great target shooting and training pistol for S&W M&P firearm owners.

Not all that impressed with this pistol. Very light weight, cheap plastic feel, bbs keep coming out of the magazine forcing me to stop shooting and eject the magazine to free the bbs. Looks nice but otherwise disappointed

Cons

This pistol is okay for what you pay for it. It has pretty high fps by today's standards. If you're looking for a cheapo M&P lookalike that has licensed trademarks and looks good, this might be for you.

Pros
Looks good. Mags are interchangeable with many Umarex bb pistols. Shoots hard.

Cons
Very lightweight and and feels pretty cheap, as it is pretty much all plastic.

By DustinUSADecember 12, 2017

For the price, this air pistol gives you an accurate feel for the real thing. The weight is good and it looks and feels like the real deal. I plan to use it as a cheaper means to practice.

Pros
Weight, feel and look of the real deal.

Cons
This model does not have the blowback feature. It's on the site for about $60 more.

Great little gun for beginners In plinking. Gun is very accurate and it very realistic. Has a great range for the accuracy. I am teaching my 5 year old granddaughter gun safety with this weapon. She is learning and doesn't even realize she is learning because she is loving shooting the gun so much. I plan to buy a stronger gun later for hunting or maybe targets.

Is there any way to adjust the trigger. The trigger is very stiff and my wife has a hard time pilling it to fire

asked Donnie from USA

Does this gun have a safety?

asked Paul

Yes, it has a safety on the right side just above the trigger opening. It slides fore and aft. In the SAFE position, when the safety is slid forward a white mark is visible. In the FIRE position the safety is slid to the rear and a red mark is visible. The magazine release is on the left side just at the bottom/back of the trigger opening. The two controls pictured on the left side just below the non functional slide are just molded in and non functional. There is also a non functional control on the right side, possibly to mimic the slide release on the original pistol.

Rawson from USA

Which size and type laser fits this gun?

asked Lyndon

How do you load the bb in it

asked travis

To load the BBs you first release the magazine by pressing the button on the left side of the gun just behind and at the lower side of the trigger opening. The magazine slides out the bottom of the grip. There is a slot in the face of the magazine with a small serrated/spring loaded follower. Slide this from the top down to the bottom of the magazine where it will lock in that position. There is a small opening just at the top of the follower where you can insert the BBs. I found that by holding the magazine with the face up several BBs can be allowed to roll along the top of the groove. They can then be slid back and allowed to drop into the opening. This is much faster than trying to load one BB at a time into the hole. When the magazine is full you then release the follower to push the BBs up to the top of the magazine. There is a small part of the follower that projects from the bottom of the magazine when it is locked into the loading position. By pushing it up toward the face of the magazine it will release and allow the spring to push the follower into the stack of BBs. The magazine can then be inserted into the pistol, the position for firing.

Rawson from USA

Hiya I'm about to buy this gun I have the oil the gun and co2 and the gun itself but I've looked for a while now and does anybody know where I can get magazines from I've looked what do I even search to find them what are they called, Please someone help me much appreciated thanks!:-)

asked Luke Edwards

I ordered spare magazines from airgundepot.com. I have the same S & W air gun plus a Crosman Tac air gun, both can use the same magazine. The magazines come in pairs and cost about $10-15. It does not take long to shot through the three magazines. The spare magazines I got look just like the original equipment. Both my guns have laser sights. See photo. I can go through three mags without recharge of co2. Good luck and have fun with your new airgun! Bob

Robert from USA

they can be pursched at airgun or at wal mart in sporting goods dept suggest you bring tha clip with you to match type

Gabriel from USA

The gun comes with what is advertised extra mags pellets and C02 can be purchesd through airgun depot. Or C02 and pellets through any sporting goods store or walmart etc

I've gone thru 6 CO2 cylinders over the course of a year. When loading the 7th, I hear a continual hissing sound, even though screw-lock is tight. In 5 minutes, all CO2 is gone. I try another cylinder - same thing. Anyone experience this, or know how/where these might be repaired?

asked Dan

What clips go with this gun? I didn't see anything listed for this model?

asked Ed from USA

the same clips that the crossman c-11 use work in the S&W M&P 40

tom

One magazine ships with the gun. No CO2 capsules, or BB's, or extra magazines are included. Documentation recommends the use of Walther CO2 capsules, RWS Chamber Lube, and Flawless BB's.

Lahoyah E from USA

This gun shoot metal bb or plastic bbs?

asked Antreas from USA

Shoots metal bbs. For plastic bbs would suggest an Air Soft gun, but my experience is the Air Soft is only effective for approximately 20 to 30 feet. When I first receive my S&W M&P it shot great but very quickly developed C02 leaks. I have stopped using this gun because it simply does work. If you're looking for a good bb pistol, I would suggest something other than the M&P.

Andy R

Metal BB's. Gun is accurate, easy to use, lots of fun target shooting.

Darrell from USA

Metal. .177 caliber.

Jeffrey from USA

This gun shoots metal bbs and pellets

Jessica from USA

metal 1.77 mil. bbs

elroy

I purchased this BB pistol with no problems with leaking C02 cartage. The first two or three replacements now C02 cartridge leak out even before the cartage can be seated this has happened with 5 cartridges. Any suggestions?

asked Andrew

Inspect the piercing needle and o-ring to ensure they are not damages and are clean. I place a 1 drop of air gun oil on the tip of my cartridges before installing and seating. Have had no isses with leakage and BB Pistol has performed flawlessly. Darrell

Darrell from USA

send it back and get a new one

elroy a.

does it shoot .177 pellets ???

asked sean stamper

No, it is a BB repeater. However there are versions of this gun that do shoot pellets, this one uses high capacity spring fed magazine for BBs. I would recommend this gun if you are looking at a cheap plinker for your backyard. The accuracy isn't the best but it shoots fast and you can get a pretty good shot group at around 25 yards.

John from USA

Yes it does shoot .177 Pellets

Jessica from USA

Sean, Unfortunately, this particular gun only shoots BB's. It does not have the ability to shoot pellets. Hopefully this answers your question Sincerely, Airgun Depot Customer Care Team

Scott from USA

How do you replace the co2 cartridge

asked Joe

Slide the grip back, insert the cartridge, and tighten the screw underneath. It's very easy.

Sam from USA

If you get one like I got you will need to replace it twice in the first hour. The seal leaked in mine. I own six air guns (five use Co2) and am not inexperienced with them. Buy the Crosman 2240. It will make you very happy. Check it out on U-Tube.

Allen from USA

I just bought this gun and I was curious on what type of rail is underneath. I wanted to get a laser for it so what would be good?

asked Tabitha from USA

This has a standard picatinny/weaver rail. Virtually any pistol laser will fit it. There's a crosman laser and an umarex laser here on airgundepot that will fit.

Sam from USA

I'm not sure about the rail type. It won't take the laser I have on another pistol so I'm not sure it will receive any laser. The rail has three slots. It is 2cm wide and 3.5 cm long. It has a shallow "v" notch. Like I said, I can't put the laser from my Springfield on the rail of this gun.

Steve from USA

Can I have this sent to me? and what would the shipping and handling cost? [email protected] Is it 480 fps?

Scott from USA

Looking for tips on relieving/adjusting the trigger pull or travel. Trigger pull isn't too bad when using a fresh cartridge, but as it gets used up the pull seems to get harder. Eventually it gets to the point where you pull the trigger, but it won't fire until you actually release the trigger. Kinda odd, so I'm not sure if it is actually trigger pull I need to adjust, perhaps rather adjust the length of trigger pull. Can this be done? Anyone else have these issues?

asked Sky from USA

I wonder if this product can be shipped to Brazil, disassembled inside the box

asked Ricardo fraga

Scott from USA

When I insert a Co2 cartridge it all leaks out. What am I doing wrong? Have not used it for about 6 months.

asked Tom Gerlitz

If you stored your gun with a CO2 cartridge in it, you may have a bad o ring gasket (remove your cartridges before storage). If so, order a replacement. Also, it is possible you are not seating the cartridge firmly enough to seal it against the gasket. You don't want to apply too much torque to the screw, but you may need to turn it a bit more once you've punctured the cartridge in order to seat it fully (also make sure the gun is clean, dirt could be fouling the seal). As a final note, I recommend putting a drop of pellgun oil on the tip of each cartridge prior to inserting. It helps lube, clean, and in theory preserve the o ring.

Sky from USA

As an avid hunter and air rifle enthusiast, being an owner of this B.B. Pistol i wouldn't had no idea of why it would've leaked out on me also! Fact of the matter, before purchasing this or any shooting gear, or like anything you would pre-purchase you should do your homework. What i mean is, check out the reviews and comments over and about such product! Doing so, i read a very important thing about a consumer who bought this exact same gun product and had such issues. He was advised by someone to do what will resolve such leaking issues of this gun as in any other Co2 product. I learned that by putting on a little bit of oil, even cooking oil on the tip and around the Co2 head will seal well with the screw on the rubbery tip in the gun Co2 receiver chamber, if you may call it that. I have let my gun sit with the same Co2 for 1 to 3 months without changing it and when i shoot a few rounds, it shoots with the same power, no less!......Guys "OIL The Tip Of The Co2 Bottle Cartridges"...just a tad bit with the tip of your finger, set the Co2 cartridge in the gun, hold it by the bottom round end of the cartridge, "VERY" important, make sure it's straight and aligned with the Co2 inlet chamber receiver, then proceed to close the hatch once cartridge is in place normally. Then."Slowly".. begin turning the fastener knob on the bottom of the gun until it makes contact with the cartridge, once it makes contact and it feels a little tight don't continue screwing it, to completely release the gas in the pistol...STOP!!! Before you make that last step, reopen the hatch, and examine that the Co2 is properly aligned with the cartridge release chamber hole, once you see it is nice and straight, then close the gun Co2 load hatch and proceed screwing it faster until you hear it releasing it completely, don't get discouraged when you hear a bit of a leak, that's just momentarily and it's perfectly normal. If you hear it leaking while screwing it, don't stop screwing it till it's fully screwed in to the chamber receiver, just don't over screw it, it will work beautifully. That's my answer and personal experience with this gun, it has operated and worked very well for me! It performs excellent every time i reload a cartridge, and shoot never a problem! Sorry for all the writing, but being specific at what you do can go along way in the long run. ...Hope i was specific enough to help cure this leaky issue guys....good luck and safe shooting!

Rafael from USA

Did you screw it all the way in? You're supposed to twist it, then you hear a quick "tss" until you twist it to the end. If you did, and it still leaks, something might be faulty.

the m&p 45 is closer to the real one in feel ,i have a 40c and this one doesnt have the feel of it.

The measurements are actually fairly accurate, maybe a little small, but the weight is not even close. This is a light gun, lighter than most bb pistols even.

Hi! i have one of these and the first co2 cartridge or 2 went in fine but now I cant get it to where the cartridge doesnt leak. I mean you can't even shoot it. What's wrong???

asked benny

Try to cool down the cartridge and if that doesn't help then go ahead and slightly oil the seal.

abe

Can you shoot Hollow Point Pellet with this gun?

asked Daniel

This gun can shoot hollowpoint pellets. Pointed ones are longer and can pose a problem, but hollow will be fine.

Steve from USA

Can You shoot .177 pellets in this gun?

asked Daniel

No, this one shoots BBs only.

Robert from USA

How much would a spring for this pistols magazine be?

asked john

Like 12.99 for a pack of two at Walmart.

chris

Is it loud?

asked D

This gun isn't very loud at all. It is a simple CO2 powered pistol.

Scott from USA

Can you leave the CO2 canister in this gun for extended piriods of time. I had a Colt similar to this but it blew out a valve from leaving the cartridge in between shootings. Sometimes I only shoot 1-4 shots at a time. Umarex Staff told me to remove the canister each time. What kind of crap is that for a Colt ?

asked Bob

You should not leave CO2 in any gun for an extended period of time for the reasons you have seen. Doing that can break the seal and if that happens, the gun will not fire and must be repaired through the manufacturer. What Umarex told you is accurate information. If you don't want to remove CO2 each time, it would be best for you to use a gun that has a different power source.

Scott from USA

Is the slide made of metal or plastic? Also, is the stock made of ABS or just everyday plastic? Thinking about buying this and these are some of the deciding factors. Thanks!
