It has a 11mm dovetail scope mount

Dovetail mounts, be sure to use thread lock on the scope rings, I did have to re-mount the scope after my initial mounting, it was not fully seated into the dovetails. I lightened the trigger pull and i was getting quarter inch groupings. Bought this for my Dad for xmas, but got it all setup and broken in, now he is thinning the squirrel population in South Carolina. It feels and weighs like a real .22, but quiet enough for a residential neighborhood.

It is all steel. The rifle is very accurate, well worth the money. The only complaint that I have is the long trigger pull but that can be easily corrected. You can get order a special trigger for it or check you tube and they have videos on how to fix it. I followed the video and fixed mine, it now is good.

The barrel is rifled all steel. I have two of these and 10 more Crosman / Benjamin nitro piston rifles. For the money it is impossible to beat these guns. Play around with different pellets to see which ones are best for your gun. I use Crosman and Winchester standard pellets.

It's a metal barrel with a plastic brake/grip on the muzzle.

It's not a pump. It takes one stroke of the barrel to cock it.

I guess it depends on what you mean by quality. They work fine as long as you use the set-screw it comes with, and I think they look nice.

Actual speed, using Discovery HP, was 783 FPS

BOX SAYS 950,BUT YOU COULD EXPECT 700 FPS TO 850 FPS DEPENDING ON THE WEIGHT OF YOUR PELLETS

Depends on the weight of the pellet and the condition of the gun. Most shoot a standard weight pellet of 14.3gr at ~700fps, but many vary from that by up to 50fps or so. My first one shot those at 700 exactly, then after some work it shoot them at over 760. Don't expect much more than that tho. It's the same power as most other guns in it's class, like the Trail, Venom, Regal etc, RWS 34, Ruger, Gamo and others.

I will add my cents worth. "Basically Crosman/Benjamin air rifles prefer Crosman Pellets" from the hoards of 'reviews' found on the net concerning the Benjamin Trail NP. All ammo/pellets mentioned here are really quite good/excellent. BUT...air rifles are not 'firearms' and "accuracy" can be a funny thing or "relative". Are you hunting or target/plinking or competition. As we are talking about the Trail NP we can discount 'competition" so that leaves Hunting and/or targets. For this, stance/hold, condition of pellets, rifle condition, and pellet seating are just as important, if not more, than actual pellet choice. Make sure these 4 conditions are addressed prior to spending addition money on expensive pellets. For myself, in this rifle..."Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum" (round) followed closely by "Crosmans Premier Hollow Point" are tops. Hope that helps

CROSMAN PELLETS IN THE 14.3 RANGE HAVE WORKED BEST FOR ME,ROUND POINT OR HOLLOW POINT.

I have shot most pellets in mine and have found the Crossman 14.5 HP can,t be beat. I have shot over 10,000 in mine in three years and have taken hundreds of rabbits ,squirrels and pegions with it . Wall-mart for $6.45.

definitely the RWS super domes i can get about a 1cm or less group on them

I have tried a number of different pellets and the one that is the most accurate in my gun is, Beeman Precision airgun pellets(Silver Arrow) .22 Cal. (17.13 Grains). This pellet gives me the tightest groups at any range. The next best performer is the RWS Superdome(field line) in 14.5 grain. However when switching pellets I have to re-zero the rifle. I hope this helps.

I'd go with H&N Barracuda or JSB 18.13gr in the classic round nose. They're both outstanding quality and usually give the best accuracy. You can try others but these are what I'd try first and most people love them. They're both heavy and as a result slower and will cost you some power, but if accuracy is your #1 concern then I think they're well worth it.

I have tried a lot of different pellets and have gotten the best results with RWS super domes, Polymags and Crossman Premier Ultra Magnum round nose. The Crossman pellets are decently priced and have exhibited pretty good accuracy in my rifle. The RWS are a little more expensive but are more consistent than the Crossman pellets. I have had excellent results with the Polymags (3 shots in a single hole rested at 25 ft). However, these pellets are the most expensive of the three. I mainly use them for hunting. They have been deadly for the local rabbit population. You will need to experiment with your rifle as each one seems to always have its favorite pellets.

They will be exactly the same because the only difference is the stock. I like this stock much more than the Venom, and if I were you I'd test feel the two if you can. Normally I don't care for thumbhole stocks, but this one is really nice and comfortable. Also look for the refurbished version to save a lot of $. Nothing wrong with them at all, can't tell from new. I'd agree the Crosman hollow point in 14.3gr is better than the pointed, but don't expect the hollow point to actually work, the just work like regular pellets. I'd recommend mail ordering better pellets, like JSB, they're worth it and they come in a variety of weights to suit everyone.

They are about the same. They will shoot the same fps. The Venom is just a better looking stock with a little different barrel, but same powerplant.

I'd be sure the barrel has been cleaned because they're usually filthy out of the box. Make sure all the screw are tight and that the scope isn't moving. Then I would check the parallax on the scope. Parallax error will cause the gun to shoot all over the place for what seems like no reason. Imo most need to be adjusted at least a little, and I think it's the #1 reason people complain about this scope. First loosen the outer ring on the front lens which acts as a lock-nut for the lens, just turn it by hand and remove it. The lens is glued to a ring and this ring has a couple slots so you can use your thumb nail to turn it. Don't use metal because you might slip and scratch the lens. Adjust parallax by threading the lens in or out until you are parallax free at your desired range. Google parallax if it's new to you. Usually 1-2 turns counterclockwise is what they need, but they vary and your needs vary so it could be more or less, or even the other direction. I go CC half a turn at a time until it's there or close, then dial it in to perfection. I usually set them to about 70' or so, but set it for whatever your typical range is. You can always change it again when your needs change.

There are quick release mounts for sale, but I don't know if AGD carries them. Other popular airgun sites do though. Also your scope might be faulty.

That spring is to reset and fully engage the sears, so if you remove it then it only has gravity to engage it and that isn't enough. So the sears could easily be just barely engaged which means the gun could fire with just a bump, like setting the down, or even all by itself without warning. It could also release while you're loading the pellet which means other risks and almost certainly bending your barrel. So do not mess with it until you've fixed it. I have pictures of the parts so you can see what it needs to make it right, plus I can explain how to make the trigger better which I assume is what you were trying to do in there?

Umm yes. Send it to Crosman! If something fell out of the gun (while you were dismantling it, which, by the way voids the warranty), the gun could go off any minute when you are least expecting it. Be safe and ship it in to Crosman.

IM PRETTY SHURE ITS BEECH. REFINISHED MINE TO LOOK LIKE WALNUT W/GLOSS FINISH.

It's wood but I can't say what kind exactly. It's fairly hard and rather light in color, probably something that grows cheap in China. This oem finish is nice, bare wood with stain giving it a walnut appearance. Mine is slightly darker than the picture

Typically the Crosman Premier Hollowpoints work well, but it all depends on the gun. The one you get might like some H&N ones.

From what I just read, the dome pellets seem to be the most accurate, but in all cases, one should try what they can afford, and put it on paper. A little time and effort makes all the difference.

That depends on the range of the target the farther the target the more you are able to adjust the scope, keep the rifle inside the effective range (75-125 feet)
