The Diana 34 EMS with synthetic stock is a breakbarrel air rifle that has lots of modular options that you can switch and modify in a way not often seen in this budget range. It shoots up to 1050 fps in .177 and 950 fps in .22, giving you plenty of power for small game hunting and plinking.

One of the most unique features is the fact that you can swap barrels. The 34 EMS offers an innovative locking system that secures the barrel to the block while avoiding extra size, unlike other entry level barrel change systems.

Another exciting upgrade possibility is the option to change the spring piston powerplant for an N-TEC gas piston. This lets you take advantage of consistent operation regardless of temperature, the possibility of leaving the rifle cocked without risking spring fatigue, and easy and quiet cocking and shooting.

Rounding out the options is the ability to swap the rear micrometer adjustable sight and front fiber optic sight for other sights, and the 11mm dovetail scope rail grooves milled into the barrel. The 2 piece cocking lever has improvements that give you an easier and smoother cocking effort, and the 2 stage adjustable trigger lets you get the exact shot you want.

If you're ready for a modular and flexible air rifle with the power for small game hunting at a budget friendly price, get the Diana 34 EMS with synthetic stock now at Airgun Depot.

I've owned this rifle a few months now and have no real complaints. It's reliable and does the job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Pros
Light, powerful and nicely made. Minimal recoil, plenty of power. As with another reviewer here, I also own a Walther Parrus. My affection for that rifle pushed me toward purchasing the Diana 34 EMS, another German made break barrel.

Cons
Actually would have preferred a slightly sturdier stock. It's slim enough that it needn't be hollow. The initial trigger pull was very light, too light for my taste.

I am very impressed and pleased with this gun. My other German manufactured rifle (a Walther Parrus) set the bar fairly high. The Walther has brutal recoil and is marginally harder to cock. The Diana is more relaxing to shoot, and will be sure to be a treasure in any collection of break barrels.

For those who find the iron sights objectionable, I can only say that I have yet to find a set of really good iron sights on a non-target air rifle. In general, the fiber optic elements tend to be so large as to completely block small targets. I have found shooting a reticle or red dot (non-magnified) more desirable, as both allow rapid target acquisition and a far more precise aiming point.

Pros
Beautifully made rifle. The trigger is superb, and is set very light out of the box. Doesn't seem to be overly pellet picky. In .22, it shot tight groups with plain Jane wadcutters, Crosman Premier domed and hollow points, as well as some heavier hunting pellets from H&N. Cocking effort is relatively light and smooth. No nasty creaks or groans -- smooth throughout the shooting cycle. I particularly appreciate the small details, such as making the safety out of steel rather than cheap plastic. Stock is well finished and comfortable.

Cons
Could be a little lighter for hunting, but the weight is appreciated for targets.

Use only with a scope.

Pros
Good solid build.

Cons
Rear sights are cheap plastic and do not adjust well. I don't like scopes, and thought this would be a good option, but am disappointed with the manual adjustments. Maxxed out both the vertical and horizontal adjustment screws, but can't get my tight shot groups over the target.

How do I get the conversion to gas n-tec instead of stsndard.bresk barrel. What other barrel options are available?
