The Benjamin Fortitude is one of the best entry-level PCPs on the market. It is regulated, meaning that the air supply for each shot will be the same over the whole shot string (between 60 and 90 shots per fill depending on how you set it up), it uses 10-shot rotary magazines that are very reliable and easy to load, it has adjustable power, and the barrel is shrouded to make it very quiet. This is a combination of features that just a few years ago was only found on the most expensive airguns! The Fortitude is available in both .177 and .22 caliber, but for this combo we chose .22 for its greater versatility. You can shoot targets, knock down cans in the backyard, or hunt small game, and .22 cal pellets are very affordable so you'll be able to do it all without breaking the bank! At just over five pounds unscoped, the Fortitude is light enough to carry all day and a younger shooter will also be able to manage it just fine. The power is adjusted by inserting a 3/16" Allen key into the rear of the action. Turn clockwise for more power and fewer shots, or turn counter-clockwise for less power but more shots. (It will also be even more quiet on lower power!) The Fortitude fills with a foster quick-disconnect fitting, so just hook up the hose, fill to 3000psi, bleed off the air in the hose, and you are ready to go!

i bought the fortitude less than a year ago. when 1st shooting it, i was just less than satisfied but not completely unhappy. i shot it periodically through the year and became less satisfied all the time. i went a bit heavier than suggested on the bullet grain. shooting the H&N sport sniper magnum in 17.90 grain. shooting at 25 yds, i could only keep an average of 6 of 10 in target the size of a quarter. sometimes 2 others would be close but usually threw at least 2 inches away. I recently purchased a variety pack of different type and grain bullets. it seems the shot pattern continually gets worse. at times i could shot a 4 shot group that were all nearly touching. other groups would be scattered sporadically. My primary use for this rifle is squirrel hunting. I am very disappointed in this purchase and would not suggest it to anyone wanting to use it for hunting. It definitely does not group like the video shows it will. Not only the grouping but the magazine failed within 2 weeks

Pros
light weight and easy to handle

Cons
the magazine is cheap. Rifle needs great improvement in shot grouping

consider getting air tank to fill it if you plan to shoot a lot. also get extra magazines, well worth the expense.

Pros
love this gun. it is a great squirrel or other same game rifle. Brother in law has a marauder. I like this better, lighter easy to use/

Cons
pumping it up takes some time but worth it.
