Action movie fans love to see the hero save the day. And the guns they use play a big part of that role. No hero enters the scene without his choice weapon. With these airgun replicas of top movie guns, you can recreate your favorite action movie sequences.
10 – Tony Montana (Scarface) – HellBoy .177
“Say hello to my little friend…” We all know the line. We can play out the scene in our heads, with Tony coming out of his office looking to take on all comers with his decked-out AR15. There are many AR15 variants on the market, but the HellBoy from Air Venturi really has it all. Weight, feel and function, it’s a great airgun for any fanboy’s collection.
9 – We Were Soldiers – Springfield Armory M1A Carbine
Compact, rugged, accurate, and semi-automatic, the Springfield Armory M1A Carbine brought things to a new level. The smaller caliber meant more ammo per soldier without compromising effectiveness, at least at closer ranges. The replica of the M1A is an exceptionally fun airgun to shoot and to own.
8 – Ralphie Parker (A Christmas Story) – Red Ryder
Who hasn’t heard “you’ll shoot your eye out.” All little Ralphie wanted was his Red Ryder gun with a compass and the thing that tells time. If you ever get to Rogers, Arkansas, you’ll want to visit the Daisy Museum to learn all about how this gun came to pass. It’s a great story for sure.
7 – Navy Seals – MP5k
Another HK hits our list. One of the most recognizable silhouettes of all time, how can you not know the MP5k is the MP5k? And, when you add the suppressor to this package, you’ve got one mean compact sub-machine gun.
6 – Terminator – ASG M11
How many rounds can you put downrange in under a second? The M11 was all about accuracy by volume. The ASG M11 comes close but stopped short of giving us fully automatic. It’s semi-automatic which is still a ton of fun and a whole lot easier on the CO2.
5 – Rooster Cogburn (True Grit) – Cowboy Lever Action
Take a look at nearly any wild west flick, and you’re going to see the lever-action rifle. Able to bring down hellfire with range and accuracy, it was a cowboy’s best friend and the bad guys’ worst nightmare.
4 – John McClane (Die Hard) – Beretta 92 (most popular Hollywood gun)
The Beretta 92 was certainly one of the most iconic handguns of the late 1980s and into the 1990s. It was certainly the most popular handgun in Hollywood for some time. We’re not sure where it would rank today, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a more recognizable sidearm once movies started to transition away from revolvers and over to semi-automatic pistols. What a great piece of history.
3 – John Wick – H&K45
The John Wick movie franchise knows how to use a firearm, bringing close-quarters firearm combat to a whole new level. Not only from the John Wick series, but also Hollywood films and gaming, HK handguns and firearms have really grown in popularity. See all the H&K airguns we offer.
2 – Jason Bourne (Bourne series) – Sig Sauer X-Five
Such an Iconic movie series. Jason Bourne brought the pain with his fists and his Sig Sauer X-Five. Come to think of it, unless you were really into firearms, when did you see your first Sig Sauer? We are seeing SIG a lot more these days, and it’s for a good reason. They are great firearms.
1 – James Bond – Walther PPKS
And finally, is there any more iconic handgun than the Walter PPKS gripped by good old 007? Given that the “real” PPKS is a mere .380 with little to no knockdown power, it has certainly taken down many a bad guy and toppled evil empires for decades.
